There is approved the urgency of the problem of insufficient readiness Theoretical- methodological basics of historical- pedagogical researches. Holistic approach is defined by the leading mode of historical- pedagogical reality perception, as its allowed to construct the methodological prism. As an example, there is given an experiment of conceptualization of historical- pedagogical formation experience and developing national education in Russia.
