The main purpose of this text is to outline the main information about one of the most influential organizations in the world. In accordance with its Statute, the task of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) is to organize, direct and unify the petroleum policies of its Member Countries and guarantee the stabilization of oil markets in order to protect an well-organized, profitable and regular supply of petroleum to consumers, a steady income to producers and a reasonable return on capital for those investing in the petroleum industry.
