In this article, the author examines the problem of the relationship between environmental and media education. Antonio Lopez claims that many of the goals and aspirations of media education are in perfect alignment with the cause of sustainability, but in order to truly green media education there needs to be a radical rethinking of many underlying premises that have lead to a deficit in sustainability discourse among media education advocates.
