The effect of tunnelization on the hemodynamics in the cavity of tibial shaft
Free access
The results were studied for 170 experiments where the changes of interstitial pressure (IOP) and the parameters of pulsed blood flow were determined by rheography data in the cavity of tibial shaft during the bone tunnelization with a wire and after it. It has been revealed that development of the defect of compact bone leads to IOP decrease proportional to the defect size. It has been proved with the help of medullography that development of compact defects results in creation of new ways of interstitial fluid circulation - from bone cavity to soft tissues, and these ways can function up to four months.
