Issues of conducting and regulating the export of controlled goods in the practice of the Russian Federation

Export control is one of the significant instruments for regulating foreign trade activities, aimed at preventing the creation and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. The development of modern export control practices predetermines the establishment of a permitting procedure for the movement of controlled goods in order to ensure the national security of the state. The article provides an overview of the main export control tools used to increase the level of economic and national security of the country. Taking into account the identified problems under the influence of Western sanctions, directions for improving the export control mechanism have been identified.
