The article is based on the report of the author at the XIInd All-Russian seminar in the memory of the professor V.S. Ilyin “The holistic educational approach: the study is continuing”, devoted to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the famous national scientist-teacher. The holistic educational approach is covered as a sacral concept and phenomenon, there is made an effort to consider holistically the context of the education and the practice of the education itself in the modern Russia.
