Temporal competence as a professional training factor

The article contains the results of a research concerning formation of students’ professional competences; the influence of education content and form on temporal competence development; interrelation between students’ academic progress and their temporal competence level; the influence of the educational profile on the peculiarities of temporal competence, co-ordination and forming temporal perspective of the future professional activities; specificity of goal-setting and the principles of different profile students’ educational activities self-organization. The importance of temporal organization as meta-competence of future professionals is substantiated. The influence of the content and form of the educational process on the formation and development of temporal competence is shown. The structure of temporal competence is defined. Explicit and implicit components of the temporal structure are identified. Behavioral referents of temporary competence are identified. Temporary competence appears in the features of organization and self-organization of activities, distribution, coordination and synchronization of time, punctuality, balance of professional and personal perspectives. The interrelation between students’ progress and the time competence level is revealed. The influence of the profile of training and vocational training on the features of temporal organization, coordination and the construction of a temporal perspective of future professional activity is shown. The specificity of goal setting and the principles of self-organization of different profile students’ educational and professional activities are described. A high level of temporal organization and balance of calendar goals is characteristic for students of the accounting profile whose activities are related to figures, economic forms of accounting and reporting, and mathematical analysis of economic entities potential. Orientation to the temporal perspective and a high level of expected events are characteristic of commercial profile students whose training activities involve a large number of social contacts and intensive communications. The level of student achievement depends on the awareness of time as a valuable resource and a high level of calendar goals temporal balance.
