According to the study, a fairly high, positive, highly reliable correlation was established between milk yield, the amount of milk fat, and volumetric signs of the exterior: height, body depth, sacrum length, pelvic width, as well as milk forms. The correlation coefficients ranged from +0.17 to +0.38 (at td = 3.14-7.89). Linear signs characterizing the development of the udder of cows such as the attachment of the front segments of the udder, the length of the front segments of the udder, the width of the posterior segments of the udder, the udder cleft, and the location of the anterior nipples also have a positive, weak correlation between milk yield and the amount of milk fat (“r” varies from +0.01 to +0.20), while a highly reliable relationship (when td=3.16; 3.69) is set with the length of the front segments of the udder. With such linear features as sacral length (r = +0,01-0,23***), pelvic width (r = +0,06-0,17***), width of the posterior udder segments (r = +0,01-0,15** ), and udder cleft (r = +0.03-0.07) are installed positive correlations with all indicators of milk productivity. The study showed the expediency of using the method of linear assessment of the exterior and determining the correlation between its results and the assessment of dairy productivity of cows in breeding work with a herd.
