The article deals with the substantiation of the significance and the peculiarities of the use of the teaching repertoire in the process of vocalist teachers’ training for the development of their professional competence. There is revealed the contradiction between the professional requirements to the vocal performing and pedagogic training and the non-development of the row of the important aspects of the training towards the use of the teaching repertory.
