Here’s an overview of the historical development of the Georgian legal systems: Ancient Period and early Kingdoms (3rd century BC - 4th century AD): The earliest legal practices in Georgia can be traced back to the ancient kingdoms of Colchis and Iberia. These regions had their own tribal customs and norms governing social and legal relations. Local customary laws prevailed, focusing on family and property law.
