В настоящее время важной проблемой является сокрытие факта и следов преступления, как форма противодействия следственной деятельности. Одной из распространенных разновидностей сокрытия факта и следов преступления является поджог. В статье рассматривается общая специфика поджога, как средства противодействия следствию. Исследуются основные типы преступлений, следы которых уничтожаются путем преднамеренного поджога. Рассматриваются особенности сбора материальных свидетельств, способствующих установлению картины происшествия. Обосновывается значимость первоначального этапа расследования обстоятельств возгорания, что связанно с краткосрочным существованием отдельных материальных следов поджога. Анализируется практика расследования обстоятельств возникновения пожара. Определяются основные проблемы и затруднения, препятствующие расследованию обстоятельств возникновения возгорания. Обосновывается необходимость повышения количества сотрудников правоохранительных органов, обладающих знаниями и навыками по установлению обстоятельств возникновения пожара.

Qualification of law enforcement officers in collecting initial traces of a fire as a factor in countering the concealment of traces of a crime through arson
Currently, an important problem is the concealment of the fact and traces of a crime as a form of counteraction to investigative activities. One of the most common types of concealment of the fact and traces of a crime is arson. The article discusses the general specifics of arson as a means of countering the investigation. The main types of crimes are investigated, the traces of which are destroyed by deliberate arson. The features of the collection of material evidence contributing to the establishment of the picture of the incident are considered. The significance of the initial stage of the investigation of the circumstances of the fire is substantiated, which is associated with the short-term existence of separate material traces of arson. The practice of investigating the circumstances of the fire is analyzed. The main problems and difficulties hindering the investigation of the circumstances of the occurrence of the fire are determined. The necessity of increasing the number of law enforcement officers with knowledge and skills to establish the circumstances of a fire is justified.
