The article covers the issues of monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of sports projects, which is relevant in the implementation of the state strategy for the development of physical culture and sports in the Russian Federation. Object: to identify the main monitoring indicators and methods for evaluating the effectiveness of sports projects. Research objectives: to describe the specifics of sports projects as a means of developing physical culture and sports; to reveal the content and essence of monitoring as a tool for evaluating the effectiveness of sports projects; to analyze the methods for evaluating the effectiveness of sports projects in the context of economic and social effects.
