Рассматриваются изменения в сфере культуры и быта в период правления Петра I через призму полотен художников. Анализируются картины живописцев XIX–XXI вв. на предмет соответствия сведениям из исторических источников. Определяется репрезентативный потенциал произведений изобразительного искусства в вопросе изучения сюжетов отечественной истории.

The reflection of transformations of the first quarter of the XVIIIRD century in the sphere of culture and daily routine in the native fine arts
The changes in the sphere of culture and daily routine in the period of government of Peter the Great through the lens of artists’ paintings are considered. There are analysed the paintings of artists of the XIX–XXIst centuries to reveal the correspondence to the data of historical sources. The representative potential of works of the Fine Arts in the issue of studying the plot native history is defined.
