Justification of relevance. The results of studies on the epidemiology of alcoholism indicate an increase in the number of students who use alcoholic beverages. There is a considerable number of works that have established the presence of certain personal and behavioral differences between people suffering from alcoholism and leading a sober lifestyle, and also found the relationship between anxiety and depressive disorders with the development of alcohol dependence. Thus, the search for predictors or markers of alcohol dependence remains an urgent task, the solution of which will allow developing a number of preventive measures for representatives of student youth. Objective: to study the peculiarities of the relationship between the states of anxiety and depression, as well as individual and personal characteristics in patients with alcoholism who are on abstinence in special conditions. Materials and Methods. The study was conducted on a sample of 407 respondents. From the aggregate sample, 3 groups were formed: group 1 (n=317, 77.9%) - students of the 4th, 5th and 6th years; Group 2 (n=70, 17.2%) - patients with an established diagnosis of alcoholism who are inpatient treatment; Group 3 (n=20, 4.9%) - persons with an established diagnosis of alcohol dependence who have been in remission for more than a year.
