Бесплатный доступ
The article sums up the theories of linguistic persuasion in political discourse and makes an attempt to look at the reaction of French mass media towards the terrorist acts in France in 2015. The material under study is the discourse of French mass media in the Internet ( Liberation, Figaro, France-Soir, Monde) and French satellite television ( France 24). The methodological approach is represented by discourse analysis. Publicity and influence upon public opinion are the communicative effects of terrorism and their tactics and techniques of persuasion and threatening are not different from the rest of communicative phenomena that have been since long ago studied in rhetoric. The paper shows that in the globalised world the state of emergency mass media are the site for the nation-wide discourse of the state officials who are performing state PR in crisis situation. The paper singles out main recurrent lexico-semantic groups in the discourse of fighting terrorism.
