Značaj informacionih tehnologija za efikasnost menadžmenta preduzeća

Informacione tehnologije obuhvataju četiri srodna pojma: (1) informaciono komunikaciona tehnologija (ICT) i (2) informaciona tehnologija (IT) kao segment unutar ICT, (3) tehnološki sektor (Tech) koji obuhvata IT kompanije i (4) finansijsko tehnološki sektor (FinTech) - kao segment u okviru tehnološkog sektora. Informacione tehnologije utiču na efikasnost menadžmenta preduzeća na indirektan način - putem informacionih Sistema. Ako informacioni sistem obezbedi kvalitetne izveštaje o performansama preduzeća, menadžment će imati i informativnu osnovu za upravljanje, odnosno proces upravljanja preduzećem ce biti efikasniji. Najvažnijii informacioni sistemi su: (1) sistem za podršku upravljanja informacijama (MIS) koji obezbeđuje automatsko kreiranje izveštaja za potrebe menadžmenta: (2) Informacioni sistem za podršku odlučivanju (DSS) koji automatizuje proces donošenja odluka na osnovu predeterminisanih kriterijuma: (3) Informacioni sistem za obradu transakcija (TPS) koji automatizuje ključne aktivnosti preduzeća (nabavka, prodaja itd.); (4) Informacioni sistem za upravljanje znanjem (KMS) koji olakšava pribavljanje i razmenu znanja i (5) Informacioni sistem za automatizaciju kancelarijskog poslovanja (OAS) koji automatizuje kancelarijske poslove (zakazivanje sastanaka, slanje mejlova, štampa).

Information technology and efficency of company management
Information technology deals with four related terms' (1) information and communication technology (I CT) and (2) information technology as one segment within the I CT, (3) technology/tech economic sector comprised of IT related companies and (4) FinTech sector - as one segment within the technology sector offering financial products via new platforms. Information technology affects the efficiency of management indirectly - via information systems. If an informatin system provides accurate, comperhensive and timely reports on company performance, management will be more efficient. Key information systems used by modern companies are' (1) MIS - Management Information System that provides automatic reports@ (2) DSS - Decision Support System that automates decision making based on predetermined criteria@ (3) TPS - Transaction Processing System that automates the key company activitites such as procurement or sales@ (4) KMS - Knowledge Management System that helps gain and communicate knowledge@ and (5) OAS - an Office Automation System that automates clerical (schedulling, printing, mailing) and managerial office activities (performance control and reporting).
