Combined liver and spleen injuries are the most common variant of abdominal injuries in road accidents, the number of which has been steadily increasing in recent years. At the same time, the results of surgical treatment of patients largely depend on the reliability of hemostasis of the liver wound with its damage. For this purpose, various variants of U-shaped sutures and synthetic hemostatic materials are used in pediatric surgical practice. The introduction of hemostatic sponge, viscose, polymer adhesives into the liver wound has a number of significant complications: autoimmune reactions, hyperergic adhesive process of the abdominal cavity, etc. The practical application of the developed surgical intervention makes it possible to eliminate the syndrome of postsplenectomy immunosuppression and significantly reduce the number of postoperative complications.
