Оперативное лечение пациентов с ПОВГ и потерей домена является на сегодняшний день краеугольным камнем для герниологов мира. А описанные методики предоперационной подготовки (предоперационный прогрессивный пневмоперитонеум, инъекции ботулотоксина типа А и их сочетание) показывают хорошие результаты лечения пациентов с ПОВГ, с шириной грыжевого дефекта более 10см и сопровождающиеся потерей домена, что в некоторых случаях позволяет избежать сепарационной пластики.
