«Экономика масштаба» или «экономика разнообразия»: на что опираться вузам в конкурентной борьбе?

В данной концептуальной статье представлены подходы микроэкономики к анализу поведения затрат вузов, получения ими эффектов экономии от масштаба и разнообразия деятельности. Авторами представлен обзор эконометрических исследований, в которых были оценены рассматриваемые эффекты для вузов некоторых стран. Обсуждаются выводы об экономической целесообразности укрупнения и расширения деятельности вузов, совмещения исследований с образовательной деятельностью. Обсуждается трансформация экономики вузов в условиях цифровизации образования, сравниваются перспективы «экономики масштаба» и «экономики разнообразия», делаются выводы о возможных выигрышах крупных вузов, последствиях этого для конкуренции в высшем образовании и преимуществах партнерства для всех игроков рынка.
