In Footpath-2 we published an article by Karen Hewitt: Who - or What - is an Unreliable Narrator? In these articles the authors discussed whether individual narrators are honest, deceitful or self-deluded, and explored how we might decide from textual evidence. Here, Catherine Brown extends her discussion by relating the concept of the unreliable narrator to the nature of narration itself.
