The Impact of Family Demographic, Social, and Economic Factors on Children's School Achievement: A Field Study in the Municipality of Oran

This study aims to investigate whether there is a relationship between the demographic, social, and economic factors of families and the school achievement of students who have passed the Middle School Certificate examinations (BEM). Given that the family is the primary and direct influence on school achieve-ment, a field study was conducted in the municipality of Oran. The sample included five hundred and twenty students who successfully passed middle school certificate examinations during the 2019--2020 school year; these students were distributed across fifty-seven middle schools. The study results revealed a relationship between school achievement and family demographic, social, and economic factors.
