Functional and semantic study of lexical units in the field of journalism in English and Uzbek

The study of the grammatical aspect of speech activity involves the need to take into account the structural-systemic and functional-semantic characteristics of the studied units of the language. The organization of language material is based on the two directions of functional grammar existing in linguistics: 1) semasiological (from language form to content), according to which the organization of language units acquires a linear structure, i.e. the analysis of meanings is concentrated within individual grammatical units, their categories and forms; 2) onomasiological (from content to language form), it excludes the linear construction of the material. Language material is transmitted by logical-semantic groups. Traditionally, the study of language material was carried out in these areas.

Functional and stylistic characteristics of subordinate clauses in modern German language

The relevance of the work is due to the ambiguity and inconsistency of the opinions of linguists and the solutions they proposed regarding the systematization of complex sentences. In previous studies, complex sentences were studied mainly at the syntactic and semantic levels. Functional characteristics were understood only as intra-sentence functions that some components perform in relation to others within the framework of a complex sentence. Previously, insufficient attention was paid to the issues of referential correlation with objects of extra-linguistic reality.

The relationship between the functional-stylistic and social stratification of the language is a very complex picture, by no means stable in different periods of the history of the German language, reflecting reality in it with its changes, including the designation of new things, phenomena, processes and the removal of old ones. At the same time and in close connection with these processes that change the composition of the dictionary, the internal development of vocabulary as a system occurs: a change in connections between words that are similar in meaning, the movement of words from words from one series and groups to others.
