Impacts of AR in Learning Tribal Bodo Language

The objective of this study is to determine the effect of augmented reality compared to traditional approaches for language learning in primary education. We reported BodoAR, a marker-based AR application suitable for teaching the Bodo language, a tribal language of India in this work. The proposed application was developed using UNITY. To find the efficacy of the proposed BodoAR, five research questions were formed. An empirical study was conducted in five primary schools on two distinct user groups: native and non-native speakers of the Bodo language. All the participants were again randomly divided into two other groups- the experimental and the control group. A mixed-method approach was employed to collect the data, utilizing quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Analysis of empirical data shows native Bodo speakers' learning - in terms of academic achievements was significantly improved using the proposed application. For non-native students, experimental groups performed better than the controlled group. Both the native and non-native experimental groups experienced low anxiety, positive attitudes, and high levels of satisfaction while using the BodoAR application. Additionally, the academic achievements and attitudes of the native students in the experimental group were positively and significantly correlated. In contrast, the achievement of non-native students exhibits a positive and significant relationship with usability. The findings show increased satisfaction and academic performance among students who used the BodoAR application, affirming its effectiveness in enhancing Bodo language learning for primary school children. Thus, AR can be a useful tool for incorporating into children’s language learning for children.

Implementation of Convolutional Neural Network to Classification Gender based on Fingerprint

Gender is one of the vital information to identify someone. If we can decide with conviction whether an individual is male or female, it will restrain the inquiry list and abbreviate the pursuit time. The way toward distinguishing fingerprints is one of the significant, simple to do assortment strategies, the cost is cheap, and a dactyloscopy authority does the particular outcome. The classification of the image gets the issues in computer vision, where a computer can mimic the capacity of an individual to comprehend the data in the image. Process of classifying image can be performing with deep learning where the process like the working of the brain in thinking and trying to reproduce part of its functions by using units associated with relationship, like a neuron. Convolutional neural network is one type of deep learning. In this research, will be doing to classification gender based on fingerprint using method Convolutional Neural Network, and then we will make three models to determined gender, with a total of 49270 image data that included test data and training data by classifying two categories, male and female. Of the three models, we are taking the highest accuracy to use in making this application. Results of this research is we get Model2 will be used as a model CNN with the accuracy level of 99.9667%.

Implementation of Instructional Design Models without Considering Inclusive Education

At present, education is a matter of global concern and it is the responsibility of all States to be able to provide the ideal conditions so that it is accessible to the entire population. As indicated by one of the objectives of the 2030 Agenda which seeks to guarantee inclusive and equitable education quality. Different studies indicate that instructional design models allow the creation of optimal educational environments for all people and that their correct application allows students to generate satisfactory learning, however, there is an important group of people who are not considered in the tests of these models making it is impossible to reach the goal of achieving the desired educational inclusion. Therefore, the stated objective is to demonstrate that people with some type of disability have not been considered to work and to validate the studies that use different models, approaches or techniques to develop virtual learning environments. The results are worrisome as they demonstrate that of the 90 scientific articles analyzed, only 4.44% have included topics related to disability and of the total sample of participants that total 11,732 people, only 42, that is, 0.36%, had some type of disability. This shows that we are very far from being able to meet the sustainable development goal that seeks to guarantee inclusive and equitable quality education. Based on the results achieved, it is intended to sensitize governments, educational institutions and teachers around the world to work responsibly to close the gap that marginalizes people with disabilities and build appropriate virtual learning environments that guarantee that everyone can access and learn in the best way.

This research aimed to create a decision support system for admission selection of PMDK scholarship pathway using the SMART (Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique) method with web-based and if this research was successful, it could help STMIK Widya Cipta Dharma to select PMDK scholarship should be given to a student of STMIK Widya Cipta Dharma. PMDK is the tittle of scholarship for interest and talent scouting. This research was conducted at STMIK Widya Cipta Dharma Samarinda, a method of data collection used interviews, that asked questions related to the selection of PMDK scholarship admissions by observation directly to STMIK Widya Cipta Dharma Samarinda. This research development system method used the development of a decision support system method. The software model used PHP programming language and database using MYSQL. The final result of this research is a decision support system for admission selection of the PMDK scholarship pathway using the SMART (Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique) method with web-based, can help selection of PMDK scholarship faster by admin, and provide information to students. So contribution of this paper is gives a best recommendation for selection of PMDK scholarship using decision support systems.

Implementation of Parallel Web Crawler through .NET Technology

The WWW is increasing at very fast rate and data or information present over web is changes very frequently. As the web is very dynamic, it becomes very difficult to get related and fresh information. In this paper we design and develop a program for web crawler which uses multiple HTTP for crawling the web. Here we use multiple threads for implementation of multiple HTTP connection. The whole downloading process can be reduced with the help of multiple threads. This paper deals with a system which is based on web crawler using .net technology. The proposed approach is implemented in VB.NET with multithread to crawl the web pages in parallel and crawled data is stored in central database (Sql Server). The duplicacy of record is checked through stored procedure which is pre complied & checks the result very fast. The proposed architecture is very fast and allows many crawlers to crawl the data in parallel.

The aim of this study is to measure the usability aspects of Management Information System mobile application in terms of effectiveness, efficiensy, and user satisfaction by using performance measurement techniques, usability questionnaires and retrospective think aloud. Management Information System application is an internal mobile application that has functions to exchange information, fill daily absences, apply for leave and fill in the daily work journal of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights employees. Until today, the mobile application of Management Information System has not been evaluated yet using the level of usability. This research was conducted by measuring the level of effectiveness, efficiency, satisfaction and retrospective think aloud. Due to the limitations of this study, researcher only gain 20 respondents who were all employees of Sukamiskin Correctional Institution within questionnaire. In addition, respondents also filled out the questionnaire given. Based on the results obtained the effectiveness level reached 100% and all respondents expressed satisfaction with mobile application of Management Information System. But in terms of efficiency needs to be more improved. And the results of the retrospective think aloud are still some improvements from the features and reduction of icons that appear on the screen. The results showed that using performance measurements and retrospective think aloud techniques had a significant effect on user satisfaction in sukamiskin correctional institution. With this techniques also shows the level of employee ability to complete tasks in the application does not fail.

Implementation of Weighted Product Method for Evaluating Performance of Technicians

The ISP is responsible for providing programmable cables or DSL modems. The ISP will send a technician to run the cabling and activate the service to the home or office. There are several obstacles from observations made at PT Telkom Akses Ujung Berung in evaluating the performance of Technicians. Management has difficulty evaluating the performance of the desired assessment technician. The evaluation process still uses an assessment based on subjective perceptions from the team leader, this is due to the absence of appropriate methods to be applied in the process of evaluating the performance of technicians at PT Telkom Akses Ujung Berung. One way to overcome the problem is the existence of a method for making appropriate decisions to assess or evaluate the performance of the Technician. The purpose of this research is to implement a decision support system that is implemented in an application performance evaluation technician with the Android-based Weight Product method that can solve problems by multiplying to connect the attribute rating with the corresponding weight attribute. In this method, there are 5 criteria used and 12 alternative ratings for PT. Telkom Access Ujung Berung. The results of this research are the highest results from the criteria, which are sorted from the highest to the lowest technician scores so that it can facilitate the management in evaluating the performance of technicians at PT Telkom Akses Ujung Berung.

Implementation of a Simple Document Repository System

Document repository systems have been developed actively for decades and have become quite popular on the internet. Now we can recognize several typical types of document repositories and find the full-text-search functionality as a useful search method for document repositories, so we think it has some significance to show as a mile stone an implementation scheme which covers basic types and functionality of the current document repositories which have full-text-search functionality. The basic functions covered by our scheme are: to create, read, update, delete (so called CRUD) of documents and a session control with an optional authentication. We present a description for each part of CRUD of our scheme. We implemented a library according to our scheme and developed small document repositories using the library. Our repository library and its applications form web applications whose script language is Perl. The implementation loosely follows the MVC (Model, View, Control) model for modularity and each MVC part of the library and its application named TEST are described. We also present a description of another application of our library which the author is conducting in the department he belongs to. We show some views of these applications. We conclude that our library works fine for the needs of building small repositories in a short time.

Implementation of gray level image transformation techniques

Gray level transformation is a significant part of image enhancement techniques which deal with images composed of pixels. The outcomes of this process can be either images or a set of representative characteristics. It effects is simple but complicated in its implementation. Recently much work is completed in the field of images enhancement with varying observable techniques. This paper describes how to enhance an image using different gray level techniques and a demonstration of its implementation. PPI Analyzer, a kind of software created to implement the various techniques is based on explosive phenomenon of MATLAB. The implemented program with interactive interface to allow for relaxed modification, presented encouraging results.

Implementing WAI Authoring Tool Accessibility Guidelines in Developing Adaptive Elearning

Adaptive learning technology allows for the development of more personalized online learning experiences with materials that adapt to student performance and skill level. The term “adaptive” is also used to describe Assistive Technologies that allow the usability of online based courses for learners with disabilities and special needs. Authoring tools can enable, encourage, and assist authors in the creation of elearning content. Because most of the content of the Web based adaptive learning is created using authoring tools, they may be accessible to authors regardless of disability and they may support and encourage the authors in creating accessible elearning content. This paper presents an authoring tool designed for developing accessible adaptive elearning. The authoring tool, dedicated to Algerian universities, is designed to satisfy the W3C/WAI Authoring Tool Accessibility Guidelines (ATAG), and to allow collaboration functionalities among teachers where building elearning courses. After presenting the W3C/WAI accessibility guidelines, the collaborative authoring tool is outlined.

Improve Abstract Reasoning in Computer Introductory Courses

Due to the elevated programming courses' failing rate in our department (45%) an action research was initiated. As part of this action research, that was performed during four semesters several course structures and learning tactics were examined. The evaluation methodology was simple and based only on the percentage of failing students. The success achieved was attributed to two main factors (1) using a visualization environment (Micro-world) for the whole duration of the course, which helped in understanding the more complex and abstract issues, and (2) using individual assignments that enforced better learning habits and development of individual algorithmic thinking. The paper describes the various attempts, as well as the final structure, that reduced the failing students by over 77%.

Improve Teaching Method of Data Mining Course

It is clearly perceived that most of theoretical information we teach to students are lost after graduation, mostly because abstract information do not last in students' minds much longer than the final exams, as they are not related to practical aspects and uses. Though labs are useful, they are not enough as they only offer exercises, but the course benefits will highly increase if students implement theories and exercises on a real life project. Data mining (DM) is one of the core courses which Information Systems students start to use after graduation once they start their career life. This paper focuses on improving the teaching ways of the course we shall implement, in order to attain a better understanding and comprehension by the students to make it more useful in their future real life careers, and it demonstrates the improvements in students' marks average after applying main concepts to real data

Big data such as social network data, financial data, and disease data have multiple dimensions that are more complicated to interpret by the human brain. In this regard, the concept of three-dimensional metaphor-based information visualization and navigation has become very important for big data visualization. The three-dimensional visual metaphors can be used to represent information allowing dealing with more abstract data of larger volumes. Therefore new three-dimensional metaphors are needed for the visualization of multidimensional attributes into easily readable and understandable forms. When compared with 2D data representations, 3D brings many advantages in complex data visualization. But most of the existing 3D visualizations result in complex Graphical User Interfaces that require high cognitive efforts to clearly understand these datasets. Therefore this paper presents a novel 3D user interface metaphor for visual analytics of multidimensional data which leads to drawing better conclusions on the datasets. The proposed system represents information in a more realistic 3D setting. The concept of the 3D water fountain metaphor is adopted to implement the novel data exploration mechanism in 3D space. This paper provides an outline of the proposed conceptual design. Employing a Vector-Borne Disease dataset as a case study, a proof-of-concept prototype based on this conceptual design is developed. The applicability of the conceptual metaphor is showcased through two distinct experiments, each involving four groups engaged in decision-making scenarios within the realm of multidimensional data visualization. Key findings reveal that 85% of the data analysis tasks were efficiently completed using the proposed 3D metaphor. Notably, user satisfaction levels including feedback on learnability, interface aesthetics, ease of use, and overall user experience were graded high. These key findings of the evaluation underscore the heightened potential of 3D user interface metaphors for facilitating visual analytics of multidimensional datasets.

Improved PSO tuned Classical Controllers (PID and SMC) for Robotic Manipulator

Due to simplicity and robustness, classical PID and SMC have been still widely used in practical applications. Performance of these controllers (PID and SMC) depends upon the value of some of the constant controller parameters. To avoid the most commonly used tedious trial and error method, this paper proposes an improved PSO based method for getting the optimized value of these parameters. For validation purpose these improved PSO tuned Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) and Sliding Mode (SMC) classical controllers have been applied for the motion control problem of the robotic manipulator. The chattering problem of SMC has been handled by using pseudo sliding function. Further results have been analyzed by comparing them with the basic conventional controllers. Results and conclusions are based on simulation results.

Improved architecture of focused crawler on the basis of content and link analysis

World Wide Web is a vast, dynamic and continuously growing collection of web documents. Due to its huge size, it is very difficult for the users to search for the relevant information about a particular topic of interest. In this paper, an improved architecture of focused crawler is proposed, which is a hybrid of various techniques used earlier. The main goal of a focused crawler is to fetch the web documents which are related to a pre-defined set of topics/domains and to ignore the irrelevant web pages. To check the relevancy of a web page, Page Score is computed on the basis of content similarity of the web page with reference to the topic keywords. URLs Priority Queue is implemented by calculating the Link Score of extracted URLs based on URLs attributes. URLs queue is also optimized by removing the duplicate contents. Topic Keywords Weight Table is expanded by extracting more keywords from the relevant pages database and recalculating the keywords weight. The experimental result shows that our proposed crawler has better efficiency than the earlier crawlers.

Improvement in Cardiovascular Disease Prediction and Control Based on Optimized Deep Learning

The analysis of medical data plays a critical role in improving diagnostic accuracy, refining research methodologies, and informing decisions regarding the allocation of medical resources, particularly for critical diseases. Artificial intelligence (AI) provides essential tools for analyzing such data to generate reliable predictions. This study proposes a predictive framework for cardiovascular disease that utilizes key risk factors through a hybrid model combining an Improved Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm with Mutation Criteria (MPSO) and a Recurrent Neural Network-Long Short-Term Memory (RNN-LSTM) architecture. The model's performance was evaluated on two datasets: one from the University of California Irvine (UCI) Machine Learning Repository and another comprising real-world data collected from Baghdad Medical City Hospital and Ibn al-Bitar Hospital. The proposed framework achieved high predictive accuracy, with Data1 yielding an accuracy of 98.36%, precision of 98.48%, sensitivity of 98.48%, and specificity of 98.21%. Data2 demonstrated an accuracy of 98.75%, precision of 100%, sensitivity of 94.12%, and specificity of 100%. These results indicate that the model generalizes effectively across datasets and outperforms state-of-the-art methods in predicting cardiovascular disease, as evidenced by robust performance metrics.

Improvement in Copy -Move Forgery Detection Using Hybrid Approach

In this present digital world, digital pictures and videos are the main sources of information. However, these carriers of information can be easily tampered by using softwares such as Adobe photoshop, GIMP etc. Thus, the issue of verification of authenticity and integrity of digital images becomes necessary. Copy Move Forgery is a popular type of forgery that is commonly used for the manipulation of digital images. In this, a region of digital image is copied and then pasted to another location with in the same image with intension to make an object disappear from an image by covering it with small block copied from another part of the same image. There are several post processing operations that are applied by manipulators to obstruct the forgery detection techniques. Thus, for aforementioned problem, we in this paper proposed a method which is a combination of SIFT and SURF algorithms. In this firstly image is split in to sub-parts by DWT method and then SIFT and SURF are applied to actual components of image one by one. After this, features extracted by both methods are matched to locate the forged part in the image. The experiment shows that the proposed method is more efficient and provides better results than applying SIFT and SURF alone.

Designing interactive question-response systems has become an important challenge in Artificial Intelligence which aims to build a computer program, referred to as Chatbot, able to manage an online human-computer conversation with natural language. The number of chatbots continues to increase these recent years using different languages, tools and platforms and has been used in several domains, such as marketing, education and medicine. One of the most important issues in designing chatbots is its degree of interoperability with human natural language. In this context, we propose in this work a new messenger chatbot design approach based on Wit.ai and Word Sequence kernel in order to improve semantics. Wit.ai is used to detect contexts and concepts while the Word Sequence Kernel is used as a similarity measure between textual conversations taking into account the order of appearance of words in the conversation. A testing educate chatbot has been build which aims to provide FAQBot system for university students and acts as undergraduate advisor in student information desk. The performance of the proposed chatbot was compared to conventional messenger chatbots and showed better results.

Pioneering ideas from the software engineering discipline have factually affected every sphere of life. Agile software development approach has been promoted since its commencement and stipulates strategies that improve the quality of software product. To consummate fast and reliable development processes, several agile approaches are charted and are quite popular. For quality improvement and to achieve defect free system, the concept of Cleanroom Software Engineering (CSE) is ingrained into agile development life cycle. For embedding users concerns, it is important to distinguish three approaches to quality: Quality of Service (QoS), User-perceived QoP, and Quality of Experience (QoE). QoS is technology centered approach, so by using Incremental Planning of CSE, it shall facilitate the customer's clarification of system requirements and will control the technical complexity. Usage Specification and Usage Modelling will be used during the Certification phase of CSE which will help to achieve QoP and QoE, being user centered approaches. Results collected from Survey conducted, explains above mentioned factors improvement.

Improving Teaching Methodology in System Analysis and Design using Problem Based Learning for ABET

System Analysis and Design is an active field that demonstrates continuously new techniques and approaches to develop systems more effectively and efficiently. Teaching System Analysis and Design courses are thus quite challenging for many reasons, such as rapid changes in the environment, changes in the nature of technology, demands and needs of the industry and new market trends. These factors will have a direct effect on the students learning and their effectiveness in the place of work. This paper examines this trend and considers Problem Based Learning as the best methodology to respond to them. It will improve the students understanding of the concepts, ideas and thus enhance their learning experience. This paper also examines the level of achievements in the course learning outcomes as outlined by Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.
