This paper begins with the problematic emergence of some values alien to Algerian society and their relationship to new media. It explores a critical perspective encompassing a set of concepts, such as social values, new media, and Algerian society, based on previous studies and contextual evidence, given that the subject falls within the category of descriptive studies. Understanding how individuals in Algerian society view values and their determinants requires a number of readings and analysis of several aspects and outcomes. Understanding this also requires us to consider our communication technologies in general and their impact, to pave the way for a context within which we study the extent of a sound understanding of values and their impact on their use.
