In Kyrgyzstan’s evolving cultural landscape in post-Soviet time, rural and urban dynamics reveal a captivating story of adaptation. This study explores domestic spaces, specifically the ‘bathhouse’, ‘naves’, and toilet placement preferences in newly built houses. The traditional rural ‘bathhouse’ has ventured into urban settings, challenging established notions. Conversely, the urban ‘naves’ now thrive in remote rural areas, reflecting evolving cultural tastes. Toilet placement choices among new settlement residents exemplify the fusion of rural and urban influences, highlighting their ability to adapt rural culture to urban living. This research underscores Kyrgyzstan’s complex cultural identity, where tradition and modernity harmonize, transcending urban and rural boundaries.

Physical-chemical constants and fatty acid composition of Zosima absinthifolia Link. fruit oil

Zosima absinthifolia is the only species of Zosima genus in Azerbaijan. The aim of this study was to determine the quantitative and qualitative determination of fatty acids in the fruits of the plant Zosima absinthifolia, which is widespread in Absheron, as well as to study its physicochemical and organoleptic properties, possible use in the pharmaceutical and food industries. The oil obtained from the fruits of the plant collected from the Absheron Peninsula (Bibiheybat) was analyzed by gas chromatography. The oil was obtained at 60 °C for 8 h by the extraction of the fruits in a Soxhlet extractor. The yield was 10.36%. Chromatographic analysis of the oil obtained from plant fruits allowed to determine 14 fatty acids. The main component of Z. absinthifolia fruit oil is oleic acid (74.36%). Small amounts of caprylic and palmitic acids were also found to be 8.9% and 5.39%, respectively. The lowest percentage is palmitinoleic acid (0.07%). Physical-chemical constants and organoleptic properties of Z. absinthifolia fruit oil were also analyzed and it was determined that the percentage of free fatty acids in our sample was 2.47%, the peroxide value 34.16 mg O/kg and the saponification number 200.23 mg KOH/g.

Physiological characteristics study of normalization of carbohydrates in food rations

Carbohydrates are organic substances with high energy, enter the body with food and satisfy the various needs of the human body. They enter the body mainly with plant products and are the most important source of energy. Approximately half (56-58%) of the energy needed by the body is provided by carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are compounds made up of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. Here, the relationship between hydrogen and oxygen is the same as in water molecules. That is why they are called carbohydrates. During physical labor, the need for carbohydrates increases. They are also involved in plastic forming processes. Carbohydrates increase the amount of glucose in the blood and increase the amount of glycogen in the liver and muscles, being included in the composition of cells and tissues. Glucose is converted into reserve carbohydrates - glycogen, which is an energy reserve that serves to maintain the level of sugar in the blood at a normal level and ensures the stable functioning of all organ systems.

The article provides information about the shrub vegetation of the high mountain steppes of the woody species of the Rosaceae family, which spread in the flora of the Nakhchivan. Typical highland steppes of the study area are found mainly on the steep southern slopes of mountains, hills, ravines and valleys. 3 formations, 13 associations and 1 subassociation were identified in the class of shrub vegetation of the high mountain steppes, and a phytocenological classification of the vegetation was given for the first time.

The article presents the phytocenological and bioecological analyzes of Helichrysum aurantiacum Boiss. et Huet., an endemic species of the Asteraceae family and assessments in plant coenopopulations of the plant. The studies were carried out in 3 districts of Gazakh-Tovuz Economic Region of Azerbaijan. Ten natural populations where H. aurantiacum species are distributed were selected. In the selected populations, the integral characteristics of the demographic structure of the plant, age and efficiency indices were studied. The formations and associations were determined, the project cover of the areas was calculated, and the abundance was determined. In the H. aurantiacum species, the highest indicator is observed in the generative development stages (225-243 individuals were counted in the g1-g3 period). The efficiency coefficient of H. aurantiacum species in mature populations was ω=0.52-0.76. The high value of the efficiency coefficient in CP 7, 6 and 10 is related to the high number dynamics of plants belonging to the juvenile and immature phases before the generative development phases, and the small number of individuals belonging to the aging (s, ss) phases. The resource potential of the plant was determined and the biological reserve in the districts was 1241.1 centners, and the annual supply was 498.6 centners. This allows the supply of H. aurantiacum species in Tovuz, Agstafa and Gazakh districts located in the north-east of the Lesser Caucasus.

The article presents the role and phytocenological features of the Foetid Juniper ( Juniperus foetidissima Willd.) species in the sparse juniper forest of Paradash Massif in the Julfa District. According to the used literature and our researches, plants with bare seeds in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic are represented by 2 Divisions, 2 Classes, 3 Orders, 3 Families, 7 Genera and 13 Species, 7 of which are related to the cultural flora. According to research in sparse juniper forests in the Paradash Massif, there were not found Species belongin to Pinaceae Adans. Family, but 2 Species of Juniperus L. Genera of Cupressaceae S. F. Gray Family, and only one species named Ephedra procera Fisch. et C. A. Mey. Belonging to the Ephedraceae Dumort family was determined. The dominant Species of the tree tier is Juniperus foetidissima Willd., and the subdominant Species is Pyrus salicifolia Pall. - whenever Juniperus polycarpos C. Koch, together with the willow-leafed pear are multi-fruited Species of Juniper. Counting of the height indicators according to the steps and determination of the trunk diameter of the Juniper tree on the territory of Paradash were given in the counting tables. All formations and associations of phytocenoses in a rocky biotope were discovered and presented.

Phytochemical Profile, Pharmacological Aspects, and Biotechnological Potential of the Genus Prangos

The genus Prangos (Apiaceae) comprises about 45 perennial aromatic species distributed mainly across the Mediterranean, the Middle East, and Central Asia. Over the past two decades, Prangos species have received growing scientific attention due to their remarkable content of coumarins, flavonoids, terpenoids, and essential oils with diverse biological activities. This review summarizes current knowledge on the phytochemical composition, pharmacological effects, and biotechnological potential of Prangos species, with particular emphasis on P. ferulacea and P. trifida . Data from in vitro, in vivo, and biochemical assays are critically assessed. Evidence supports their antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and enzyme inhibitory properties, alongside promising industrial and biotechnological applications. The review aims to consolidate recent findings and identify future research directions for exploiting Prangos as a source of natural bioactive compounds.

Provides information about the phytocoenological analysis of the species included into the Malvaceae Juss. family, spreading in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic flora. It was found out from the conducted researches that, since the species included into this family spreading in the area with different ecological characteristics, are quite different. Although the species belonging to the Malvaceae family in the research area do not directly have a dominant feature in plant phytocenosis, they are considered to be very important species in the formation of plant phytocenosis. It is clear from the conducted phytocoenological analysis that Alcea flavovirens (Boiss. & Buhse) Iljin, Alcea rugosa Alef., Alcea tabrisiana (Boiss. & Buhse) Iljin, Althaea hirsuta L., etc. species are among the elements that form xerophytic coenosis on the dry hard mountain slopes, in the lower and middle mountain zones.

Discusses the participation of representatives of the Brassicaceae Burnett. family in the spring flora of the lowland areas of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, using the road leading to the Julfa district as an example. The study provides information on species belonging to the genera Arabidopsis (DC.) Heynh. and Camelina Crantz within this family. Specifically, the species Arabidopsis thaliana (L.) Heynh. and Camelina sativa (L.) Crantz were identified along the road to Julfa. Data on the phytocoenosis formed by these species and its species composition are presented in tabular form. The study investigates the family, genus, life form, and ecological group of the species forming the phytocoenosis.

The paper presents descriptions of some of the most common apple pests. In Uzbekistan, the apple tree is one of the most important fruit trees. Damage to the apple tree must be controlled, and for this, all types of pests must be studied. Horticultural products from Uzbekistan are in demand on the world market. Currently, the export of food, fruit and vegetable products totaled about 5 billion dollars. Over the past three years, the volume of exported agricultural products has more than tripled. On fruit crops, one of the most dangerous pests are mites. Biological control measures on these crops have not yet been developed to the perfection as against pests belonging to the class of insects. There are studies where effects on the number of spider mites on an apple tree are noticed, where varieties with weak and medium pubescence are especially affected by the mite, and varieties with felt pubescence are slightly damaged.

The dendroflora of Ganja city includes the general composition of trees and shrubs naturally distributed in the city and used in greening. This flora has a significant impact on the ecological state of the city, its microclimate and the health of residents. The phytosanitary state of trees and shrubs used in greening reflects the health status of plants distributed in the area, their resistance to diseases, pests and environmental factors. From a phytosanitary point of view, exhaust gases and industrial waste cause a decrease in the quality of soil and air. This, in turn, creates stress in plants and reduces their resistance to diseases. In urban areas, tree species that are not suitable for the climate and soil are often damaged and stop developing. At this time, fungal, bacterial, viral diseases and pests develop, leading to the destruction of vegetation.

Salinity is a major abiotic stress limiting growth and productivity of plants in many areas of the world due to increasing use of poor quality of water for irrigation and soil salinization. Plant adaptation or sustainability to salinity stress involves complex physiological traits, metabolic pathways, and molecular or gene networks. A comprehensive understanding on how plants respond to salinity stress at different levels and an integrated approach of combining molecular tools with physiological and biochemical techniques are imperative for the development of salt-stable varieties of plants in salt-affected areas. Recent research has identified various adaptive responses to salinity stress at molecular, cellular, metabolic, and physiological levels, although mechanisms underlying salinity tolerance are far from being completely understood. This paper provides a comprehensive review of major research advances on biochemical, physiological, and molecular mechanisms regulating plant adaptation and sustainability to salinity stress.

In this paper, the process of adsorption of organic compounds of the polyaminopolyphosphonates and polyaminopolyсarbonoates (chelators or complexones) class on iron (available in steel St3S (Poland) 97%) is modeled using the HyperChem package version 8.0.7 using the semi-empirical ZINDO / 1 method. The structures of chelators (“complexones”) for the study were chosen so that the sequential complication of the molecular structure could be traced. Such an approach, as will be shown below, accurately reflects the process of corrosion protection with bacterial content by chemisorption of an organic compound on the metal surface to form a complex compound. In the course of the study, the compositions of the complexes obtained, the energies of the boundary orbitals, and a graph depicting the dependence of the charge density on the iron atom on the component of the corrosion rate that is due to chemisorption effects were obtained and analyzed. On the graph there are equations of lines.

Population density as a major factor causing soil degradation

The historical causes of population settlement have been investigated, the impact of settlement and population density on land degradation in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has been studied in this article. At the same time, solutions of the problems of prevention of degradation have been explored. As Nakhchivan is one of the ancient cities of the world, the history of human impact on the environment is very old. During the historical period, as a result of human activity, lands have been degraded and modernized. Results of research, using statistics and through ArcGis software, location of settlements on altitude zones population settlement by regions, density, settlement maps and tables have been compiled for the altitude zones. It was determined that, the population is more densely populated in plains, foothills, river valleys with fertile soils close to water. As a result of intensive use, soil fertility has decreased, salinization and erosion processes have led to soil degradation. The results of our scientific research are reflected in maps and tables.

The purpose of this paper is to examine global trends in higher education. A focused examination of the distance learning facilities as a means of raising academic motivation facilitates the identification of some of the issues confronting the process of training economists in Uzbekistan in general, and foreign language proficiency in particular. Motivation plays a vital role in learning. It helps to energize the behavior of the individual, to acquire knowledge, to direct the activity of a student towards specific goals; to develop socially important abilities and qualities, to improve performance, and to form a sense of discipline. Defining distance learning as a way of providing learning opportunities that is characterized by the separation of teacher and learner in time or place, the authors point out the use of a variety of distance learning technologies. The aim of the article is to find out how the advantages of distance learning technologies could conduce enhancing students' motivation to learn.

Pectus excavatum is a funnelling of posterior chest wall. Wide depression area is seen at mid sternum, particularly from 3rd to 7thcostal cartilage. Genetic predisposition is not scientifically proved but defective embryogenesis is surely involved. Congenital pectus excavatum is a very common defect, but a congenital chest defect is very rare. Until the symptoms are not present, there is no need of its treatment. If the pectus excavatum has cardio-respiratory problem then it needs firstly, conservative treatment like supportive therapy (chest brace) and then, if supportive therapy fails, we should go for the surgical intervention.
