The field of computer vision is increasingly becoming an active area of research with tremendous efforts being put towards giving computers the capability of sight. As human beings we are able to see, distinguish between different objects based on their unique features and even trace their movements if they are within our view. For computers to really see they also need to have the capability of identifying different objects and equally track them. This paper focuses on that aspect of identifying objects which the user chooses; the object chosen is differentiated from other objects by comparison of pixel characteristics. The chosen object is then to be tracked with a bounding box for ease of identification of the object's location. A real time video feed captured by a web camera is to be utilized and it's from this environment visible within the camera view that an object is to be selected and tracked. The scope of this paper mainly focuses on the development of a software application that will achieve real time object tracking. The software module will allow the user to identify the object of interest someone wishes to track, while the algorithm employed will enable noise and size filtering for ease of tracking of the object.

The article describes and proves the possibility of increasing the protection against neutron radiation for personnel by means of immersion liquid without major changes in the design of the equipment used and without reducing the safety of the radiation object. Studies of the components properties of the protection glass and the immersion liquid have shown that the properties of the immersion liquid reduce the dose rate of neutron radiation significantly compared to the protection glass, which is used for the main protection against ionizing radiation when working with uranium- plutonium fuels. The use of two-layer protection in viewing windows allows reducing the dose rate of mixed gamma-neutron radiation to values that do not exceed the safe radiation dose for personnel when working with an ionizing radiation source, which in this case is 50 kg of uranium-plutonium fuel.

The quality of binder in asphalt mixes largely determines the characteristics of road surface. In the present study the possibility of modifying the binder by introducing the settling resin of pyrolysis of wood raw material into bitumen is considered in order to improve adhesion of bitumen to stone materials and to improve the quality of asphalt concrete.

The In work it is shown that the hydroacoustic channels of impulse noise or short-term interruptions for improving the quality of data transmission can be applied different variants of convolutional and cyclic codes. Convolutional codes at a rate of R ≤ 3/4 in conjunction with broadband signals (BBS) or convolutional codes R ≤ 2/3 with code interleaving algorithm can reduce the probability of an error at the output channel for the known error statistics. Taking into account the energy gains from the computational complexity of encoding and interleaving of code is more favorable option “code + BBS” to 4÷5 interlaces. Given the multi-bit optimal filter BBS, its implementation is always more diffi cult than implementing a threshold decoder trellis.

In the smelting and foundry production of aluminum ingots, filling conveyors are widely used. Aluminum ingots of a certain shape and weight are obtained by crystallizing liquid aluminum (melt) in the molds of the filling conveyor. As the mills move along the conveyor, the melt gradually hardens in them. In high-performance conveyors, the mills move through the water to increase the cooling rate of the melt. Therefore, after the mill is freed from the hardened ingot, water enters it. In order to avoid temperature shock and possible release of liquid metal, the molds must be dried and heated before pouring. At present, gas burners are used in aluminum plants for this purpose [1]. The purpose of this work is to study the possibility of induction heating of the filling conveyor molds.The calculation is carried out using Fourier series in complex form and approximate boundary conditions on the surface of ferromagnetic molds. The approximate boundary conditions avoid the need to calculate the electromagnetic field in a nonlinear ferromagnetic medium.In the heated object, the energy of the induced alternating electric field is irreversibly converted into thermal energy. This dissipation of thermal energy, which leads to the heating of the object, is determined by the presence of conduction currents (eddy currents).Induction heating is widely used in metallurgy for melting, heating and mixing of electrically conductive bodies. The method is based on the absorption of electromagnetic energy by bodies of an alternating magnetic field created by an inductor. The heated product is located in the immediate vicinity of the inductor. There are many publications on analytical and numerical, analysis of physical processes in the inductor-heated billet system. In this paper, an analytical calculation of electromagnetic processes in the system of inductor - ferromagnetic molds of the filling conveyor is carried out. The analytical solution is obtained by using the approximate boundary condition of L. R. Neumann on the surface of nonlinear ferromagnetic molds.

In this paper research of the structure of dispersely - reinforced basalt fibre cement stone with the purpose of getting foam concretes with improved performance characteristics is carried out. The results are given of the study of the processes of structure formation of the cement system, dispersеly - reinforced by basalt fibre, consisting of a number of thinner fibres that actively interact with cement matrix in a chemisorbed manner. Interaction takes place only in the surface layer, basalt fi bre integrity being preserved in the cement stone. The effect of «fullness» is observed at that and availability of cement adhesive vacuum absorption is assumed. The suggestions mentioned are confirmed by physical and mechanical tests of foam concrete samples possessing enhanced durability, frost resistance and longevity.

Influence of an additive of chromium-containing Al2O3 nanopowders on phase transitions in aluminum oxide micropowder (a waste from alumina production) is investigated. Aluminum oxide nanopowders were synthesized by shock-wave method. Chromium compounds were introduced during the synthesis as well as following annealing of powders. Main difference between obtained chromium-containing Al2O3 nanopowders was their phase composition. Mixtures of nanopowders and alumina macropowders were pressed and sintered. The additive of the Al2O3 nanopowder that was dopped with chromium ions during the synthesis and is characterized by the prevalence of θ-phase is demonstrated to be the most perspective for ceramics fabrication on the alumina base.

The influence of initial components mixture mechanical activation on the synthesis processes in enamel mass and on the molten enamel adhesion to the metal was investigated. Its established, that the process of albite formation in the coating material intensifies by components mixture activation. On the base of measured contact angles of cast iron with molten enamel was revealed, that adhesion of the molten enamel to the metal noticeably increases by initial components activation.

Systems for detecting fires are essential for protecting people and property. Still, there are a lot of problems with these systems' accuracy and the frequency of false warnings. This study uses wireless sensor networks with deep learning to improve the accuracy of real-time fire detection systems and decrease false alarms. Wi-Fi camera movies are analyzed using the YOLOv5 deep learning model. This model locates and classifies items quickly and precisely using deep learning techniques. To guarantee accurate detection, a sizable collection of fire-related data is used to train the model. When a fire occurs, users receive early warnings via WebRTC technology, and live footage of the burning location is broadcast. Using these sophisticated technologies, the efficiency of fire detection in the indoor environment can be improved, providing users with immediate and accurate alarms. Personnel and property safety is improved, and losses due to fires in the interior environment are decreased.

In our work there were investigated thermal electrophysical characteristics of coaxial contact assemblages, made of a steel current carrying rod, steel or cermet sleeve and filled with an iron or nichrome powder. As a result of heating up to 950 ºС the iron powder was shown to be sintered and develop a highly conductive and damping medium that can be used for making contact junctions of materials having very different linear expansion coefficients.

There was carried out research work on electrical technical characteristics of contact assemblages made of materials with very diverse linear expansion coefficients (LECs) at temperatures up to 900°С and current loads of long-durations up to 100 hours. Foam nickel was employed as a conductive damping material. After being subjected to long current and heat loads contact junctions between the foam nickel and contact assemblage materials were studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis.

Coating deposition on many industrial components with good microstructural, mechanical properties and better wear resistance is always a challenge for the thermal spray community. A number of thermal spray methods are used to develop such promising coatings for many industrial applications; viz. arc spray, flame spray, plasma, and HVOF. All these processes have their own limitations to achieve porous free, very dense, high performance wear resistant coatings. In this study, an attempt has been made to overcome this limitation. Molybdenum coatings were deposited on steel substrates using Wire flame. As-sprayed coatings were analyzed for phase using x-ray diffraction (XRD), and for microstructural using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), also the micro-hardness of coatings are measured. Results show that the coatings have good performance in terms of microstructural, mechanical properties.
