Mortality and morbidity of pregnant and maternity women is a big problem in developing countries like Indonesia. The support of husbands, parents, and midwives in taking care of pregnant women is important for the health of mother and baby fetus. One of a problem in taking care of pregnant women, is maintaining the emotional stability and behavior of pregnant women. The strategy to optimize support for pregnant women is to provide Maternity Waiting Homes. The purpose of this study was to analyze the support of husbands, parents and midwives in optimizing the function of Maternity Waiting Homes. This research is qualitative descriptive research. Data collection techniques with in-depth interviews, observation, documentation and Focus Group Discussion. The core informants consist of midwives who managed the Maternity Waiting Homes and doctors, main informants consist of pregnant women, husbands, parents, and midwives, supporting informants consist of public health center nurses and sub-district stakeholders. This research located in Wonogiri Regency (kabupaten), Central Java Province in Indonesia. Based on the results of the study, husband’s, parents and midwives support in the normal pregnancy has a positive impact on the physical and psychological aspects of pregnant women until delivery. While husbands, parents and midwives support in unwanted pregnancies did not have positive impact on pregnant women. The existence of Maternity Waiting Homes has not functioned optimally in supporting the amenities of mothers and babies. Thus, social support (husband, parents and midwife) is a determinant factor of emotional stability and the behavior of pregnant women.

The Use of Expectorant Plants in Alternative Medicine

The use of expectorant substances is applied in the treatment of both bronchitis and cough. The combination of natural remedies with pharmaceutical preparations improves the course of the disease and accelerates recovery. Alternative medicine has consistently shown effectiveness in infectious diseases. Herbal remedies, tested in folk medicine, when used alongside pharmaceutical preparations, help to prevent complications. In many cases, synthetic drugs are discontinued before the disease is completely cured. Continuing treatment with medicinal plants after conventional therapy can lead to more favorable outcomes. This article provides a detailed review of expectorant plants. Research has demonstrated that the active compounds in these plants possess significant expectorant and antimicrobial properties. Preparations derived from them, or used in alternative medicine, are applied in the treatment of upper respiratory tract diseases due to their bactericidal, anti-inflammatory, and expectorant effects. The combined use of expectorant substances with pharmaceutical preparations in diseases such as bronchitis and pneumonia aims to prevent complications and the progression to chronic forms of illness. Phytopreparations based on the active substances of expectorant plants also demonstrate similarly high effectiveness. The preference for plant-based preparations is due to their broad therapeutic applications and minimal side effects. Studies have confirmed that plant-derived preparations are less harmful for long-term use compared to synthetic drugs.

The Whorf hypothesis and language manipulation in dystopian literature

Problem of language manipulation reflected in dystopian fiction suggests certain changes that drastically influence mentality of people. Deeper analysis of dystopian texts such as ‘Cloud Atlas’, ‘We’, ‘Nineteen Eight-Four’, ‘Brave New World’ and other works reveal that the one, who controls language, controls the mind of people. Language as such carries within itself many meanings related to culture, values, beliefs and many more, and thus limiting the open expression in language restricts access to that information that is stored behind words. This matter is touched by The Whorf hypothesis.

The Yahyo Gulomov role in the study of the primitive history of the Bukhara oasis

In the 50s and 60s of the XX century, the first archaeological excavations were carried out in the western part of the Bukhara oasis, in the foothills of the Zarafshan River. It is headed by Yahyo Gulomovich Gulomov, the father of Uzbek archaeology. The expedition will find the sites of Neolithic and Bronze Age communities in the area, and later excavations at these sites will reveal many innovations in our history. The article discusses the role of Yahyo Gulomov in the study of the primitive history of the Bukhara oasis and his great contribution.

This study examined the effects of ferric oxide and zinc oxide nanoparticles (NPs) at various concentrations on the activity of antioxidant system enzymes (superoxide dismutase and catalase) in the sprouts of durum and soft wheat varieties. The research objects included durum wheat varieties ( Triticum durum Desf.) Gyrmyzy Bugda, Garagylchyg-2, Yagut, and Karabakh, as well as soft wheat varieties ( Triticum aestivum L.) Mirbashir-128, Gobustan, Sheki-1, and Dagdash. To determine the optimal concentrations of nanoparticles influencing the activity of antioxidant enzymes in different wheat varieties, molar concentrations of zinc oxide NPs (0,1 mM, 0,01 mM, and 0,001 mM) and mass concentrations of ferric oxide NPs (15 mg/kg, 30 mg/kg, 50 mg/kg, and 100 mg/kg of soil) were applied. The highest catalase activity was observed at a zinc oxide NP concentration of 0,01 mM for both durum and soft wheat varieties. For ferric oxide NPs, the optimal concentration was found to be 30 mg/kg for durum wheat varieties and 15 mg/kg for soft wheat varieties. Thus, ferric oxide and zinc oxide nanoparticles show potential for use as pre-sowing seed treatments for various durum and soft wheat varieties. However, determining the optimal NP concentrations for the specific crops being studied is a critical requirement for their effective application.

The anti-dogmatic metaphors in M. Bulgakov's novel “The Master and Margarita”

The article describes Christian reminiscences in Mikhail Bulgakov’s novel “The Master and Margarita”. From the perspective of evangelical traditions the themes, issues and pro-genre originality of the work are explored in the novel. The novel is analyzed in terms of menippea genre. In addition, the specifics of using the “shift” techniques lexical bias are discussed in the article; violation of the logic of cause and effect linkages, accurately traced episodes, as well as the expansion of the thematic fields, images with symbolic meaning, artistic ambiguity by using words are also described in this article. The reasons of rejection of the classical model of the universe, the binary system of concepts (good and evil, light and darkness, harmony and chaos) are analyzed. A comparative-typological analysis of the main characters of the novel is drawn. The range of problems are touched upon the issue, there are risen and closely intertwined topical issues and at the same time eternal issues: “What is truth?”, “What is real and imaginary freedom?”, “Man and his faith”, “The problem of power, conscience, man’s responsibility for his actions”, “The artist’s fate in a totalitarian regime”, “Why do betrayals happen?”, “Where is the border between mind and common sense?”, “How does true charity, love and devotion become apparent?”.

The issue of improving the basic training of students in pedagogical higher education institutions vocational educational institution is discussed in this article. The basic positions of continuing pedagogical education are presented. Qualities that make the future teacher competitive in the contemporary economic conditions and training system capable of ensuring their development is suitable is discussed. It is suggested that the education system is a reflection of the processes taking place in the organization of labour, and also clarifies that in the conditions of modern society and education, there has been a significant change in the requirements of the modern specialist for successful productive activity in the professional sphere. The vocational-pedagogical and pedagogical higher educational institutions of Russia are analyzed in terms of popularity and effectiveness. The directions of the improvement of the basic training of students in pedagogic and vocational pedagogical institutions are suggested.

The bijectivity criterion, continuum hypothesis, and number sequence and series without some dogmas

N Introduction, we give the Alternative decision of David Hilbert’s first Problem. Our paper contains demonstrative denying a hypothesis about the existence of a bijection between a set of positive integers and its own subset. This statement is a basis of an alternative methodology, in which a significant tool is the concept of С- ( m, k )- pair of natural variables. We define e-divergence and w-convergence of number sequences with this methodology. In particular, the equality is a characteristic feature for a w-converging number sequence. We proved that the set of Cauchy sequences coincides with the set of w-converging ones and, hence, contains a subset of the infinite large sequences; everyone from them converges to corresponding infinite large number ( ILN ). In particular, a harmonic series converges to the some ILN, and the necessary attribute of some number series convergence is also a sufficient one.

The causes of verbal aggression and ways to overcome it

The article is devoted to the problem of verbal aggression. The purpose of the article is to study the nature of verbal aggression; to determine the essence of verbal aggression of schoolchildren. However, verbal aggression is a widespread phenomenon in the school speech environment, taking place at almost all social levels of communication. Moreover, verbal aggression is noted in the speech of both students and teachers of secondary schools. In this regard, it is obvious that one of the most important educational tasks of modern school education is the socialization of students in the modern world through teaching effective communication skills and means of traditional folk culture that do not allow manifestations of verbal aggression.

The investigation is focused on the conditional characteristics of the soil on the erosion-threatened sloping lands devoted to agriculture. The studied territory is situated in the Equatorial Andes. The analyzed samples were taken from the key-sites located on the slopes with inclination angle of 10°. The comparative analysis was carried out within the borders of a key-site divided into 4 sectors with different agricultural crops: corn, oats, beans and a permanent grass pasture. It is defined that the agricultural fields used for corn cultivation are the most vulnerable to erosion. The organic matter content in the plow layer is decreasing up to 0,53%. The process of erosion is the leading degradation factor. Observations have shown that such erosion forms as gullies are being formed. It is recommended to reduce corn cultivation in steeply inclined areas unless erosion control measures are taken.

The colluvial deposits in the gullies of the northern part of the Quito region, Ecuador

This study reveals the analysis of the colluvial deposits in the gullies in the Equatorial Andes. The key site is located in the norther Quito suburb. A diversity of widespread colluvial deposits is a specific characteristic of the territory. The analysis showed the coincidence of the soil texture of the gullies and colluvial deposits. The authors came to the conclusion that the studied deposits are lately formed. For being a result of gully sloughing that occurred within the dry season, the deposits are insignificantly converted. The impact of additional factors is considered to be minimal.

The paper presents the results of the investigation of the soils on the slopes with the exposure to the south and north in the valley of the Guayllabamba river, the South America, Equatorial Andes. The analisys proved that the soils on the slope with the exposure to the north are characterized with small amount of organic matter (0.10-0.21%). The organic matter content in the soils of the slope with the exposure to the south vary from 0.44 to 1.92%. The maximum organic matter amount on the slope with the exposure to the south reveals in the parts with the slope angle of 19°, the minimum amount charachterises the slope with the angle of 14° The upper part of the south-exposure slope, characterized as more fertile, differs in the most parameters. The slopes of Equatorial Andes are characterized by great microclimate diversity that creates a range of local ecosystems.

Liner has a role as sealing or waterproof layer that was made to prevent water to be absorbed by the soil. A good liner is made within the minimum hydraulic conductivity (k) within the requirements of 1.0E-07 cm/s. This study was conducted to determine the extent on the difference between hydraulic conductivity (k) bentonite and termite nest ( Macrotermes gilvus Hagen) as one of the materials that have the potential to obtain small value of hydraulic conductivity (k). This research was conducted by examining the effect of hydraulic conductivity (k) value on the percentage of additives, such as bentonite and termite nest material ( M. gilvus Hagen), and then compared the hydraulic conductivity (k) values of those two materials. The variations in the additive content percentage are 5%, 15%, and 30% with laterite as a base material. Based on the results of falling head test at minimum density of 95% γdmax, the smallest hydraulic conductivity (k) value was obtained by bentonite with 30% mixed percentage level of 6.9390E-08 cm/s and the smallest hydraulic conductivity (k) value of termite nests was 1.2646E-07 cm/s with the content percentage of 5% mixture.

The concept of discourse occupies a central position in contemporary linguistic studies, reflecting the anthropocentric orientation of language. Discourse is widely regarded as a complex communicative process that integrates both linguistic and extralinguistic dimensions. Furthermore, numerous scholars emphasize its multifaceted nature, encompassing cognitive, sociocultural, and pragmatic aspects. This article aims to explore the theoretical foundations of discourse and its classification into various types, such as personal and institutional discourse. In addition, a comparative analysis of English and Russian lexicographic traditions highlights significant differences. While both languages underscore the importance of communicative interaction, the Russian perspective uniquely incorporates extralinguistic factors, including sociocultural and psychological dimensions. Consequently, discourse is conceptualized as a bridge between reality and text, facilitating a nuanced understanding of language use. Moreover, advertising discourse is identified as a subset of media discourse, distinguished by its systemic features. Ultimately, the study advances theoretical insights into discourse’s situational relevance and practical implications.

The concept of war through seasonal symbolism in Ernest Hemingway's selected works

Humankind faced numerous war experiences in its existence. War concept is one of the significant themes in art; moreover, it is one of the frequently utilized concepts in literature. This paper studies war concept through seasonal symbolism in the context of Ernest Hemingway’s literary works, its interconnection with seasons of the year and post war conditions of the characters. The topicality of the paper can be explained through existing interest to symbolism, exactly seasonal symbolism in the literary world. Additional data is the analysis done on the seasonal symbolism depicting the concept of war in Ernest Hemingway’s works. The novelty of this paper lies in the analysis done to reveal symbolic interpretation of seasons reflecting the concept of war in Ernest Hemingway’s writings. During the analysis of this work the following methods of research were applied: qualitative method and comparative method of research. Symbolic interpretation of war concept can be illustrated with various phenomena. Some works depicts war through the usage and existence of weapons in the work, some with blood and death of the characters and finally, some works can reveal war symbolism through weather depiction and the existing season in the plotline of the work.

This article conducts a linguistic and cultural analysis of proverbial expressions, we tried to identify the specifics of linguistic verbalization of the linguistic and cultural concept of “dreams (while sleeping) / сон (Russian) / түш (Kyrgyz)” in the Russian and Kyrgyz linguistic proverbial space. The combination of sustainable forms produces a proverbial space of language, which reflects the entire history of life, way of life and experience, folk observations, conclusions, traditions and customs of each nation. By conducting linguistic studies of each language, linguists identify the ethnocultural characteristics of each language, depending on such extralinguistic factors as: geographical location, mental processes in the consciousness of a certain ethnic group and worldview. The relevance of this survey is the importance of the linguistic and cultural concepts, semantic descriptions of the features of Russian and Kyrgyz paroemia, which are an integral part of the national linguistic picture of the world. The concepts of “dreams (while sleeping) / сон (Russian) / туш (Kyrgyz)” considered by are an important state of human existence, the basic concept of any linguistic culture.
