The morphology study of Rosmarinus L. seedlings

In recent years, the interest in natural herbal medicines and essential oils obtained from them has increased significantly in medicine industry worldwide. Essential oils and products made from them are widely used in various fields of modern medicine, especially in aromatherapy, in traditional treatment methods. Therefore, the study of the composition of biologically active substances in essential plants is of special importance. From this point of view, the introduction of new types of medicinal plants, the study of their bioecological properties, and especially the expansion of research conducted for use in scientific medical practice regarding the pharmacological activity of essential oils obtained from them is very relevant. Among the mentioned prospective research objects, rosemary (Rosmarinus L.) species widely used in medicine and folk medicine in different regions of the world occupy a special place. Despite the great interest in this plant and the obtained essential oil in Azerbaijan, its biological properties, extraction and composition of the essential oil have not been thoroughly studied. Therefore, the introduction of new useful species belonging to the genus Rosmarinus L., the study of their bioecological characteristics, cultivation agrotechnics and biologically active substances on scientific grounds is in the spotlight with its relevance.

The moss flora of Korchay state nature reserve

The article discusses the floristic, ecological and cenotic features and the distribution of mosses in the territory of the Korchai State Nature Reserve. Among the mosses of the reserve, there are also species with a limited range. Those species are typical for silicate rocks and stony rocks. Another characteristic feature of the relief of the reserve is the presence of traces of ancient glaciation. Another characteristic feature of the relief is the absence of watersheds similar to a smoothed plateau. As a result of the research, it was found that the flora of the research area contains elements and relics from the last stages of the ancient Cretaceous period (3rd period). Relict species are pages of geologic history that reveal patterns of flora distribution.

The new taxa of ferns in the northeast section of the Lesser Caucasus

During the expeditions in the north-eastern part of the Lesser Caucasus in 2014-2016 and based on the results analysis of the collected herbarium and descriptor information three species ( Polypodium interjectum Shivas, Polystichum ×illyricum (Borbás) Hahne, Cystopteris anthriscifolia Fomin), one botanical variety ( Polystichum aculeatum var. aristatum (Christ) A. Askerov) and one new ecotype ( Adiantum capillus-veneris L., “Dwarf plant - Ganja”) has been identified. The article provides information on the three-dimensional spatial areas of the sites where these plants are found, the taxonomy, morpho-biological variability and taxonomy types.

The notion of phraseological unit

The given article deals with issues related to the relationship between phraseological units and words, and provides definitions of the term “phraseological unit”. A significant part of the article is devoted to the review and analysis of different views of scientists on the theory of equivalence of phraseological units with words. The results of the analysis are used to formulate conclusions about the relationship between words and phraseological units.

In a published scientific article presents modeled using quantum chemistry package HyperChem version 8.0.7 using semiempirical method ZINDO/1 the process of adsorption of organic sulfur-containing compounds such as iron (available in steel St3S (Poland) in the amount of 97%). Compare and explain the protective effects of corrosion depending on the extent of cathodic polarization of the metal model specimen. This way with high accuracy reflects the process of corrosion protection with mycological content (Penicillium chrysogenum cells) by the chemisorption of organic compounds on the metal surface with the formation of complex compounds. Inhibitor protection carried out with a sample of the metal cadmium plating protected with a current density of 4 A/dm2. As a comparison, the properties and characteristics of some complexes responsible for metal protection, will be referred to secondary data obtained from protected metal cadmium plating sample 1-3a/dm2. In the research process were obtained and analyzed: the charges on the heteroatoms, the charge density (1 atom of iron), the composition of the resulting compounds Fe a ←[SMY], as well as energy diagrams in the formation of the adsorption complex of the studied molecules. Absolute linear graph type “Z% - Feρq”, so the charge density on the iron is a powerful predictive parameter in the mission of inhibitor (at various concentrations) to protect steel from corrosion, without the use of a screening method. Knowledge of the partial effective charges of helping to determine the most powerful adsorption centers belonging to a specific molecule inhibitor. Changing values frontier orbitals helps to assess the stability of the adsorption complex inhibitor compounds with metal atoms.

Biostratigraphic characteristics of the Pontian deposits of Gobustan are given based on the materials of the Sundu cavern. The systematic composition and characteristic complexes of ostracods for the lower, middle, and upper sub-tiers are revealed. Biostratigraphic dissection of the section was performed. It is established that sediments of the Pontian regiostage take part in the geological structure of the anticlinal structure of the Sundu. A scheme of dismemberment of the Pontian sediments of Sundu cavern has been developed, which can be applied during further geological exploration in other areas of the SE of Gobustan. The obtained results can also be used for biostratigraphic study of deep-submerged Miocene deposits of the western side of the Southern Caspian.

The power circuit of mechanical damping device for cooling system of 50 kW pulse diesel generator

Diesel generators have advantages such as high reliability, superior economic performance, and a wide range of applications. However, its working environment is relatively sealed, and it is difficult for the internal heat of the motor to transfer to the outside. Prolonged high temperatures can affect the operational performance of the motor and even cause danger. Therefore, it is necessary to design a reasonable cooling system to ensure its efficient operation within the safe working temperature. The water-cooled cooling system has good heat dissipation performance, consisting of components such as a water pump, radiator, fan, water tank, and temperature controller. By precisely controlling the water flow rate and wind speed, effective control of the internal temperature of the generator is achieved, extending the service life of the equipment. This article studies the power circuit of the mechanical damping device in the cooling system of a 50kW pulse diesel generator, develops heat transfer and hydraulic energy circuits, and constructs the frequency response of the circuit. As the water quality increases in the circuit, the amplitude decreases at low frequencies (less than 4 rad/s) and frequencies close to 10 rad/s, and the amplitude aligns. For one parameter variable, the optimal frequency is 3-4 rad/s.

The problem of drought in the territory of Azerbaijan and combat measures

The article considers global and local climate change, and the problems associated with these changes. The increase in drought in the world and in Azerbaijan. The influence of various types of anthropogenic impact on the environment is studied. Measures to reduce their negative consequences are proposed. 52.4% of the total land fund of Azerbaijan is suitable for agriculture. The bulk of the soil is in arid areas (Kura-Araz lowland, including the Salyan, Mil, Mugan, Shirvan and Karabakh plains). Drought is also observed in the foothills of the Lesser Caucasus. Growing crops without irrigation is impossible. Problems arise in irrigating crop areas in dry years. The presence of drought in the summer months and a decrease in water resources negatively affect agriculture. The total water deficit in Azerbaijan in 2020 amounted to more than 0.2 km3. The water deficit may increase to 1.3 km3 in 2030 but may amount to 4-5 km3 in 2050. It is proposed to use current technologies in the country's natural resource management system.
