It analyzes the need to maintain a balance between translation accuracy and adherence to the cultural and social norms of the audience. The article explores theoretical approaches to censorship, including neutrality, harm minimization, and respect for cultural differences, as well as practical methods such as omission, soft reformulation, adaptation, and paraphrasing. Practical examples are analyzed where censorship of texts helps to avoid conflicts and misunderstandings. It is emphasized that effective censorship requires not only the translator's professional knowledge and skills but also the ability to promptly adapt the text depending on the context and cultural characteristics of the audience.

The article examines the importance of the formation of intercultural competence in teaching foreign languages in the context of globalization and integration of different cultures. It is explained that effective communication with native speakers requires not only mastery of grammatical and lexical aspects, but also the ability to understand and respect the cultural characteristics of other countries. The article analyzes various methods that contribute to the development of intercultural competence, including the use of intercultural trainings, role-playing games, digital platforms and international exchange programs. The role of the teacher in the process of forming intercultural competence, as well as technological tools that are actively being introduced into the educational process, is also considered. The problems and challenges faced by students and teachers in teaching intercultural communication, as well as ways to overcome these difficulties, are discussed. In conclusion, the need to integrate intercultural methods into language teaching is emphasized for the successful adaptation of students in a globalized society.

In increasing students' lexical knowledge, games play a crucial role in teaching correct word usage and ensuring grammatical accuracy in speech. Moreover, games are beneficial in developing teamwork, using essential linguistic techniques, and fostering creative thinking, thus boosting interest and motivation in language learning. Didactic games offer great potential in the educational process to help develop students' speech.

Along with the terms borrowed from English, grammatical elements and suffixes were also included, and as a morpheme could not be used independently in word creation, it acquired a new derivational feature in the composition of individual words. Since English and Azerbaijani are languages with different systems, the transfer of words from one language to another requires its adaptation to norm sources. Therefore, the borrowings that entered the lexical system of the Azerbaijani language through the English language are adapted to the historically formed literary language laws of the Azerbaijani language and were used in the Azerbaijani language in the form of the source language without undergoing any changes.

Learning a new language is often perceived as a complex task, necessitating practice across multiple skills. This research examines the significant role of media and institutional resources such as TikTok, YouTube, Netflix etc. in enhancing the learning of English languages in case of Kyrgyzstan which is under Russian language influence. These resources empower English language teachers by bridging communication gaps and facilitating clearer explanations of concepts. By minimizing teacher talk, lessons become more engaging for students. Furthermore, they offer opportunities for learners to see, hear, and interact with the language, thereby increasing their interest in English. These resources also provide real-life experiences that encourage active participation, making learning more concrete and relevant. Additionally, they enhance retention rates, transform the teacher’s role from a knowledge dispenser to a facilitator, and allow students to progress at their own pace. Moreover, they stimulate practice, foster discussion, and inspire higher levels of achievement among students. Employing case study and descriptive methods, this research analyzes the role of authentic language in language learning, exploring ideological patterns in news structures. The findings present practical strategies applicable in language classrooms to improve both language proficiency and socio-cultural awareness. It is recommended that innovative strategies establish a framework to help learners reflect on their language learning experiences.

One of the urgent tasks of this research is to systematize methodological terms encountered in teaching English as a foreign language and to create a bilingual educational methodological textological dictionary. The research analyzes the distinctive features of existing dictionaries in this field and explores the principles of systematizing educational methodological terms and dictionary compilation. This analysis is significant for the precise and consistent definition of terms used in the methodology of language teaching. As a result of the investigations and analyses, the importance of a dictionary of educational methodological terms has been highlighted, along with a proposal to develop principles for dictionary creation.

The article studies various formulae of the Kyrgyz speech etiquette of greeting. Within the scope of this work the lexical and semantic classification of greetings is provided and lingua-culturological comments are given. Greeting speech formulae constitute meaningful components of the speech act, since its fundamental function lies in its phatic function, and initiation of the polite and benevolent behaviour during communication, as well. Speech etiquette may depend on situation and context of the act of communication, such as: participants of communication act (status, gender, age), type of communication (formal/ informal), place and time (highly honored guests; time of a day etc.), theme and goal of communication (friendly relations, happy and unhappy events, etc.). In the Kyrgyz lingua-culture greeting formulas are used in compliance with the norms of etiquette behavior. Moreover, great variety of examples of the Kyrgyz speech etiquette of greetings is studied, which is used depending on situation and other parameters of act of communication. Specific attention is given to description of greetings in the Kyrgyz language that convey national and cultural shade explicitly, which is signified by ways of establishing contact. Lingua culturological analysis of the Kyrgyz speech etiquette of greeting is evidenced by illustrative material taken from classical literary works.

The study examines cultural features in the perception and use of the eye image in the song discourse of two nations. Particular attention is given to how the eye acts as a symbol of emotions, wisdom, intuition, and social interaction. The research identifies both commonalities and unique elements in the perception of the eye, shaped by the cultural and mental characteristics of English- and Kyrgyz-speaking audiences. This work provides a deeper understanding of cultural values and symbols through a linguistic and cultural analysis of song lyrics.

In today’s international relations, the influence of states is not limited to their military and economic capacities. Cultural appeal, political values and a positive image on a global scale also become determining factors in foreign policy success. In this context, the concept of “soft power” developed by Joseph Nye is increasingly gaining strategic importance, especially for developing countries. For developing countries such as Kyrgyzstan, soft power stands out as an effective tool for supporting foreign policy goals without resorting to pressure or coercion. Kyrgyzstan has a remarkable soft power potential with its rich cultural heritage and increasing international visibility. In order to activate this potential, projects focused on culture and education, diaspora activities, promotion of tourism and promotion of art and traditions play an important role. In addition, diplomatic missions not only conduct official relations; they also assume a central function in terms of public diplomacy, cultural interaction and information sharing. This study examines the social media activities of Kyrgyzstan’s embassies in strategically important countries (USA, China, Russia, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan) in line with Kyrgyzstan’s foreign policy priorities and regional sensitivities using descriptive content analysis. In this context, it is evaluated how digital diplomacy tools contribute to the process of building national image and supporting foreign policy goals.

The heroic epic Manas, due to its grand scale and fantastically rich content, as well as its artistic perfection, figurative expressiveness, and the wealth of both verbal and visual means, holds a well-deserved place among the outstanding monuments of the world’s epic heritage. Comparative analysis of Manas with other world epics contributes to a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of its narrative and artistic features. According to researchers, in the Middle Ages, the ancestors of the Kyrgyz people were part of the Great Turkic Khaganate, which maintained cultural ties with many countries, including India. There are studies that confirm this historical connection. This article presents a comparative analysis of the great Indian epic Mahabharata (The Tale of the Great Bharata), translated by Nurgazy Kemelbaev and Kenesh Jusupov, and the work Tengir Manas in the version by Ashym Zhakypbekov. The study is aimed at identifying similarities and differences in the prose versions of these epic narratives. Examining typological parallels between the Indian epic Mahabharata and the Kyrgyz epic Manas allows for a deeper exploration of the originality of the latter, as each epic is a unique cultural monument shaped by the specific cultural, historical, and mental characteristics of its people.
