Use of essential oil Rosmarinus officinalis L. in industry

The presented article provides information on the botanical description of Rosmarinus officinalis L. species, essential oil extraction, and the use of the obtained essential oil in medicine, cosmetology, aromatherapy, and cooking. The component composition of the oil obtained by hydrodistillation from the young buds and leaves of Rosmarinus officinalis L. cultivated in the experimental field of the Dendrology Institute was studied in Kristal M brand gas chromatography. Based on the results of the analysis, alpha-Pinene, Sabinene, beta-Pinene, Myrcene, Carene-3, alpha-Terpinene, 1,8-Cineole (Eucalyptol), tr-beta-Ocimene, gamma-Terpinene, Terpinolene and other components contained in the essential oil of the species have been detected.

Use of internet resources in teaching a foreign language

This article discusses the relevance of the use of modern Internet technologies in the teaching of foreign language and also analyzes the importance and effectiveness of the use of web technologies in the study of foreign language both in class and in the independent work of students. The author analyzes different points of view on the expediency of using information technology in the teaching of foreign language and expresses a comprehensive position on this issue, supported by illustrative examples of the positive effect of using modern technology. The author believes that using web resources, teachers greatly simplify the process of communication of students both among themselves and with native speakers, as students are able to communicate both in writing and orally through video conferences or social networks, and not only on the subject matter, but discovering situations of daily communication, as close to real-life communication as possible.

Use of some microbial enzymes and their compositions against phytopathogenes in agricultural areas

Enzymatic hydrolysis the lignocellulose substrates (wood sawdust, wheat bran, bard), brought in a nutrient medium are given as a carbon source for cultivation of fungus and actinomycetes, producers of making components of a bio stimulator which is used in agriculture for cultivation of cotton plant. It was established that among examinees of substrat spirit grain the bard in experimentally picked up concentration (10-50%) it appeared a full-fledged substratum for the active growth developments and antibiotic enzymatic making with use to which can be prepared rather cheap and effective preparation is providing for increase in productivity and decrease in incidence of crops in agriculture. At the current time using biological methods of cultivation and protection of environment is the most important link in cultivation of ecologically safe agricultural production. The biological methods of protection of plants is recognized as the most resource-saving reception, allowing to protect plants from diseases, wreckers and to increase their efficiency without expenses of irreplaceable natural resources and without harmful emissions in environment [1-2]. The microorganisms used for production of valuable biological products, promote supply of plants not only elements of mineral food, but also physiologically active agents (enzymes, phytohormons, vitamins, etc.) [3]. Studying of enzymatic activity and efficiency of culture of fungus of Pleurotus ostreatus UZBI-I 105, Aspergillus terreus 9, and actinomycete Streptomyces sp. 166 on cheap the lignocellulose substrat for development of effective biotechnology of a biological product for increase in productivity and protection of crops against wreckers of phytopathogenes was the purpose of the real work.

Uses Eriobotrya japonica (Thunb.) Lindl. in greening in Azerbaijan

Information is provided on the structure, reproduction and decorative properties of Eriobotrya japonica (Thunb.) Lindl. In Absheron it is used as an ornamental plant. The plant blooms and bears fruit within 7-8 months; 6-7-year-old trees begin to bear fruit. This is a light-loving plant. Easily propagated by seeds. It is advisable to use the plant as a promising species in landscaping, landscape architecture and horticulture, taking into account the characteristics of its flowering and fruiting. The biological and ecological characteristics of the plant are analyzed.

Using Zoom in teaching English grammar

The author describes teaching the English language to students using the latest information technologies (ZOOM platform) when teaching grammar. The article foregrounds the advantages of distance teaching the English language especially grammar structures with the help of the latest information technologies (ZOOM platform). The author examines the advantages and disadvantages of distance learning of the language in the framework of the original teaching experience at school and also shares the experience of organizing distance learning of the English language in the context of the pandemic. The purpose of teaching a foreign language is to develop a basic ability to communicate with simple words and texts about everyday life as well as to raise the interest of students in Grammar activities and provide them with the opportunity to understand the culture of the country under study.

Using informal language in prose fiction (in the example of the novels by Ch. Aitmatov)

The article deals with informal language used in the novels by Ch. Aitmatov. In the literary works of art authors don’t always state facts, narrate events and describe the setting, they also show the real conversation between characters or someone’s thoughts and feelings explicitly in the text. In such cases the authors use informal language taking into consideration age and mood of characters, settings and location where this or that dialogue or monologue is taking place. It’s revealed that informal language used in prose fiction has a figurative meaning, and depending on the context it may have both positive and negative meanings. It’s clear from examples that informal language is used purposefully by the author to create authentic atmosphere of informality and intimacy, to make sense of immediate communication with readers and to have satirical and ironic effect making his speech emotive and expressive.

Except for grain herbs, legumes, and sedge, all herbaceous plants are included in the agrobotanical group, called various herbs. Different herbs are found in forested meadows and humid places. Generally, different herbs are found in each of the natural climatic regions. As a result of the research, 13 species, 12 genera, 9 families from various herbs are spread in the irrigated areas of the northern part of the Lesser Caucasus. A comparative analysis of the variety of herbs distributed in the area, the quality of feed, and the agrobotanical groups was conducted.

Beekeeping improvements and attention to this subject are considerable in Azerbaijan. It is not correct to indicate only the climate factor as the cause of low productivity and bee losses in honey bees. The presence of a number of pests in bees leads to a decrease in their ability to work, as well as to make them more susceptible to diseases and quickly infected. Among such pests, we can mention the Varroa destructor mite. In our research, the prevalence of the Varroa mite, which is a pest of honey bees, was studied in Jalilabad, Masallli, Yardimli, Lankaran, Lerik and Astara regions of Azerbaijan’s Lankaran-Astara economic region. According to the results, the region with the highest infection rate was Astara and Lankaran, 80%, and the region with the lowest infection rate was 50% in Masalli district.

Virtual self-presentation: psychological aspects

The problem of self-presentation has been studied in psychology for a long time. Recently a new concept has appeared. It is called as virtual self-presentation. Both Russian and foreign psychology pays much attention to this phenomenon. Most scientists are wary of the replacement of various social processes with their analogues which arise in virtual space. As a result it is necessary to do research the subject of which is specifically virtual self-presentation. Objective: in this connection the purpose of this work is personality research with the expressed virtual self-presentation. Thus, it is important to analyze its social and psychological qualities defining such aspiration and the leading type of its Internet activity. It is also necessary to give an assessment of the Internet influence on the activity of such users. Design: empirical research was conducted into two stages (in connection with large volume of test material: 14 test techniques and author's questionnaire). Total number of respondents is 208 (102 persons took part in the first stage and 106 took part in the second stage). Within the author's questionnaire we considered both the general aspiration for the virtual self-presentation which is subjectively estimated by respondents themselves and the concrete indicators (allocated on the basis of the theoretical analysis and studying various Internet resources). They are pseudonyms which are called nicknames in the virtual space terminology; the placed information from the social and demographic point of view; visual expressions of the personality image (photo and video); resource of “statuses”; the placed products of their activity; participation and belonging to various groups and communities; the placement of quotes or pieces from the correspondence with other persons; a quantitative index which includes a number of own pages, sites, social networks which the user is registered in. As a result we come to the conclusion about the personality aspiration for the virtual self-presentation. Besides, we reveal the leading type of activity of network users, motives and requirements realized in the virtual world and also an assessment of influence and concrete consequences of a network involvement. Results: our analysis showed that the personality with the expressed virtual self-presentation in the real life is in crisis state which is characterized by wide range of negative manifestations. There are also difficulties in communicative and emotional spheres. Social motives which aren't realized in the real world are transferred into the virtual world. Such users have no critical evaluation of possible negative consequences of a strong network involvement. Conclusion: high aspiration for the virtual self-presentation is a sign and an indicator of the extremely negative mental state and leaving the real world for virtual one. This indicates the necessity of the psychological or psychotherapeutic assistance for such persons. We come to the conclusion that it is necessary to limit children and teenagers from Internet access especially it concerns social networks.

Vocabulary retention in cognitive theory

Vocabulary learning has been a key aspect of acquiring a second language for many years. Many scholars and linguists claimed that learning languages cannot be successful without a wide range of vocabulary. However, most ESL learners are confronted with recalling difficulties as they tend to forget the word fast that they learned recently. These challenges are commonly discussed and researched by Cognitivists since they deem that there are several reasons for forgetting associated with memory and mental process. This case study entails small-scale research on vocabulary retention, reasons for forgetting, and some potential solutions to recall words in the second language. For this case study, we have chosen Cognitivism Theory in a bid to investigate and find out remembering challenges of our ESL learner and give her some possible solutions because according to cognitive psychology it is said that systematic forgetting occurs owing to interfering effects, a continuation of the very process of subsumption, neurolinguistic blocking and other factors. Relying on their findings we tried to help our seventeen-year-old student who tends to forget English words easily. In this case, the hypothesis of the research is that pictorial texts or stories can be more effective for short and long-term vocabulary learning and retention.

Walnut crops in the north-east of Azerbaijan and their importance in food security

The article presents the results of the study of nut crops common in the north-eastern region of Azerbaijan. As a result of scientific expeditions carried out in the north-eastern - Kuba-Khachmaz Economic Region of Azerbaijan, the areas of distribution of nut crops have been identified. It has been established that Corylus ranks first in this region in terms of distribution area. Kuba, Khachmaz, Kusar Districts are rich in wild forms of Corylus . According to the distribution area, the Juglans regia occupies the second place after the Corylus .

Blood pressure either rises or falls with the help of nerve impulses and hormones to the heart.
