The application of neural network for cybersecurity

Over the past few years, the number of cyber attacks has increased dramatically. Currently, not only government organizations and business companies are attacked by hackers, but many Internet users. Recent studies have shown that machine learning and analytics can predict potential attacks pretty accurate. This article contains the results of the analysis of attacks from 2017 to 2018. The authors also describe several ways of protection by using neural networks and machine learning algorithms as a promising solution to the problem.

The attitudes of Russian citizens toward the childfree subculture

The paper is devoted to the childfree phenomenon, its history and nature in various cultures. The study deals with the social attitude of Russian citizens towards the Childfree phenomenon based on the research of the scholars at Kuban State University, attended by N=247 respondents (M=45, F=202). The participants were presented with a questionnaire “Your Attitude to Childfree Subculture” consisting of 11 questions to determine the respondents’ basic understanding of the childfree, their views on childless / childfree families, positive or negative opinions of parenting as well as their motives, goals and preferences in life. The results of the study showed that Russian citizens do not adhere to this ideology, but they are loyal to their proponents.

This article focuses on sustainability in project management. The article presents information on the emergence of the concept and key terms of the concept, comparison of key aspects of project management and sustainability. The article contains two points of view. On the one hand, sustainability in project management is part of stakeholder management. On the other hand, integration of sustainability in project management is much wider concept than stakeholder management. The article also contains an analysis of sustainability in project management, as a part of stakeholder management and sustainability in project management as an independent concept. The theoretical aspects, that presented below, support the analysis of each statements: the concept of sustainability; the concept of sustainable development and the basic principles of the concept; the relationships between project management and concept of sustainability. The presence of sustainability principles in the standards and methods of project management are considered. The analyses demonstrate that sustainability should be integrated as much as possible in all project management areas of knowledge and in all process group of project management to ensure the safe development of the economy and the world.

The correlation between perfectionism and procrastination in students

The article is devoted to the relationship between procrastination and perfectionism based on the survey attended by N= 66 respondents aged from 18 to 21 years old. The study concludes that procrastination is interrelated with the general level of perfectionism and its parameters, i.e., perception of others delegating high demands and high standards of their activities while targeting the “most successful” ones.

The great silk road as crossroads of languages and cultures

International and intercultural relations have become important not just nowadays, but there were like this also in ancient times, when people used to cross borders and travel on recreational, religious and, of course, on commercial purposes. When speaking about the commercial relations, it is important to mention the Great Silk Road, which, having started from China and having crossed the borders of different countries, including Armenia, reached Europe thus becoming a unique bridge among different languages, religions, nations, cultures and civilizations. There are many characteristic features of cultures, and among them one of the most important ones are languages, as the language is one of best prisms through which the culture can be perceived. In this article the Great Silk Road is studied from the linguistic and cultural angles in order to show the relations between different countries. The special emphasis has been put on the words “vordan karmir” and “carpet” and, consequently, on the usage of this special red dye called “vordan karmir” in Armenian and carpets, particularly the oldest best preserved carpet of the world, the Pazyryk rug.
