Role of Charlson comorbidity index in predicting severity and prognosis of community-acquired pneumonia

Many patients with community acquired pneumonia (CAP) are polymorbid and this requires a comprehensive evaluation of comorbid illnesses to determine the risk of unfavorable outcome of pneumonia. Aim: To evaluate the complex impact of comorbidity, assessed by Charlson Comorbidity Index (ССІ), on the severity and prognosis of CAP. Materials and Methods: 1292 patients hospitalized in the Clinic of Pneumonology and Phthisiatrics of MHAT “Saint Marina” - Varna were retrospectively studied for the period from 2012 to 2015. For each patient ССІ was calculated and patients were divided into three levels of comorbidity: low (ССІ=0); intermediate (ССІ=1-2) and high (ССІ≥3). The assessment of the severity of CAP was made according to PSI, CURB-65 and IDSA/ATS criteria. Results: Patients were at average age of 59,94±17,03, 57,2% of them were male. Anmerkung: Der folgende Artikel befasst sich mit dem Thema der russischen Sprache als Minderheitensprache. Zunächst unterscheidet der Autor jedoch zwischen Russisch, das unter den Einheimischen als Fremdsprache gesprochen wird, und Russisch, das als Sprache der russischsprachigen Minderheit in der Stadt gesprochen wird. Der Autor geht auch auf die Geschichte der russischen Sprache als Minderheitensprache ein, analysiert den aktuellen Stand der russischen Sprache und der russischsprachigen Minderheit. Am Ende des Artikels werden die Entwicklungstrends der russischen Sprache notiert.

Делается вывод о том, что в полном объеме методика SWOT - анализа доступна только очень крупным компаниям.

Sample model for training women and control of conducting prophylaxis of breast cancer

Introduction: The high incidence of breast cancer and the comparatively low cost of the study make screening appropriate and economically justifiable. In the context of comprehensive screening programs at national level, the World Health Organization encourages breast cancer control. Demand for new ways and means in the fight against breast cancer should be a priority of any state policy. Aim: To present a Model for women's training and control of breast cancer prophylaxis to be applied to the personal ambulatory card of the adults. Material and methods: 1102 women living in the districts of Varna, Dobrich, Silistra and Shumen were interviewed, about 1/3 of the respondents living in the village. The opinion of 260 nurses working in hospital and outpatient medical care in the regions concerned was also investigated. The surveys of both groups of respondents were completed in 2015. The article is devoted to the research problem of shyness in interpersonal communication on the basis of the research of the scholars at Kuban State University, attended by N = 150 respondents (F=100, M=50) aged from 18 to 25 years old, using the Russian version of the SHYQ-Henderson / Zimbardo questionnaire (2017). The aim of our research is to study the personal characteristics of shy students in order to explain how social networks help them to solve the problem of shyness. Shyness doesn''t necessarily equate to being introverted or not liking yourself. In this regard, we put forward the following tasks: to study the causes of shyness; to study the personality characteristics of shy people; to reveal the influence of shyness on a person.

Slow steaming as competitive advantage of contemporary liner company

This article is devoted to investigation of limits of efficiency of slow steaming. The goal of our research was to define bunker price level at which the transition to slow steaming becomes efficient for liner companies. We have developed a methodology allowing us to determine the critical bunker prices based on the fuel consumption dependence on cruising speed and effective demand for carriage on delivery time. The obtained results show that the current price level allows to speak about the efficiency of slow steaming only on particular voyages for certain classes of vessels.

Поэтому целью работы является показать, что управление человеческими ресурсами имеет значение для обеспечения успеха любой организации, основанной на убеждении, что компания получает конкурентное преимущество за счет эффективного и действенного использования деятельности своих сотрудников. Что касается новой задачи HRM, то в статье делается попытка определить, можно ли рассматривать HRM как источник конкурентного преимущества фирм. Наконец, результат этого исследования подчеркивает ценность человеческих ресурсов (HR) и его стратегической деятельности, которые влияют на производительность организации и конкурентоспособность.
