Intensive methods of teaching English

The article is about the use of intensive methods of English language teaching. The purpose of the study is the study and introduction of intensive methods of English language teaching. Scientists have found several methods of intensive teaching of English, despite the fact that teaching a foreign language is treated as one of the most difficult spheres. In this article authors have presented several methods of language teaching in a short period of time for the improvement of students' pronunciation. Their findings are that these methods can be effective means for the improvement of students' language skills in a short period of time.

Joint listening as a way of increasing perception in teaching a foreign language

This article presents a technique for teaching listening comprehension that combines cooperative learning with strategic learning. It assigns learners to pairs or small groups, and then gets them to cooperate in comprehending the message of a recorded speech. While listening, the learners employ some strategies and keep them in mind so they can later share them with their classmates after listening. The results of this activity are a range of strategies used by students with a variety of learning styles. This article also discusses the steps in the cooperative listening technique and the advantages of this approach. These new techniques focus more on training learners to utilize effective strategies for listening to spoken messages. These strategies are best learned in an environment of cooperative learning which enables students to work jointly with their classmates to comprehend spoken discourse and then benefit each other by sharing the strategies they employed during the listening.

The article examines the role of knowledge, skills and abilities in teaching a foreign language at a technical university. The role of each of the components is analyzed on the example of solving the problem of forming the communicative foreign language competence of future engineers. The author comes to the conclusion that the relationship of knowledge, skills and abilities determines the need to choose a personal-activity approach in the development of foreign language competence at non-linguistic faculties of higher educational institutions.

This article proposes a theoretical justification of mental stress influence on the mental working capacity of high school students in the context of specialized education. In addition, this article proposes an empirical-experimental study of functional criteria for assessing the mental working capacity of high school students in the context of educational activities. The modernization of society, the economy, politics, and modern education provides an opportunity for the emergence of a new direction of specialized education - based on objective methods of functional psychological and pedagogical diagnostics, stimulating the learning activities of students. In this regard, before psychologists and teachers, the administration of municipal educational institutions, it became necessary to determine effective criteria and methods for assessing the quality of specialized training at all stages of training and education of the main subjects of the educational process.

More and more often we face the fact that knowledge of a foreign language becomes a vital necessity. Game technologies are one of the unique forms of teaching, which allows to make interesting and exciting not only the work of students at the creative and exploratory level, but also the everyday steps of learning English. The article shows the main didactic properties of gamification. Classifications and types of game technologies in teaching English at the elementary level are shown. Also, authors made an analysis of main types of games, and their objective reasons for using them.

The author of the article describes how viewing various works of art in English lessons can enhance the development of empathy, critical thinking and an understanding of the complex nature of the correlation between art, culture and society. Organization of the essay and its structure

The rapid development of information technology and the daily use of the Internet have influenced the growth of written communication. Teaching the correct writing of academic essays and articles has become part of formal formal instruction. Today, the essay is offered as an assignment quite often. High school students are taught to structure their essays to improve their writing skills. In both middle and high school, essays are used to assess mastery and understanding of the material. Students are asked to analyze, explain, comment, or evaluate a research topic in the form of an academic essay letter. Teaching the correct writing of an essay is necessary so that students write better work, for a deeper understanding of the topic. Writing an essay is effective because it allows the author to learn how to clearly and competently formulate thoughts, structure information, use basic concepts, use basic concepts, illustrate experience with examples, and argue their conclusions.
