A Comparative Study of Marriage Legislation: Algerian vs. Tunisian Law

This study presents a comparative analysis of the marriage laws in Algeria and Tunisia, focusing on the conditions, procedures, and legal frameworks that govern marriage in both countries. The research examines the influence of Islamic law and civil law on marriage practices, comparing key aspects such as the minimum age for marriage, consent, family approval, dowries, and marriage contracts. By investigating these elements, the study aims to identify the similarities and differences between the legal systems of Algeria and Tunisia, assessing their effectiveness in protecting individuals' rights within the institution of marriage. The study also addresses the impact of social dynamics and evolving gender equality perspectives on marriage legislation. Ultimately, the paper offers recommendations for legal reforms to enhance the protection of individuals involved in marriage in both countries.

This paper is based on the median analysis of the data of the Census Bureau for the years 2010-2014. Referring to the 2010-2020 Education Reform and Development Plan, it aimed to investigate the development of special education in the People's Republic of China from 2010 to 2014. By examining the data on the total number of students with special education needs by school, class, graduates and applicants at 5-year intervals; our results showed that there was a significant improvement over the five years, which was compared at the p<.05 level (p = 0.000). However, a number of shortcomings still exist, represented by the imbalance between registered female and male students with special education needs, the uneven distribution of schools between rural and urban areas, and the large gap between the number of G-1 primary school special education students and the number of G-3 secondary school special education students.

A Decision Method for Improving Tourism Industry Service Quality under Budget Constraints

Based on the quantitative analysis in Kano model, this paper proposes a model for improving tourism industry service quality from customer satisfaction and cost budget constraints perspectives. Relevant evaluation information is obtained by employing the questionnaire survey and the relationships between customer satisfaction and the fulfillment of service quality elements is determined in Kano model through processing the obtained evaluation information. Then based on the relationship functions, considering the budget constraints, the optimization model of improving tourism industry service quality to maximize the customer satisfaction is constructed, and the budget allocation is determined by solving the optimization model. Finally, a case study is provided to illustrate the feasibility and availability of the proposed method.

A Late 20th Century European Climate Shift: Fingerprint of Regional Brightening?

We investigate the spatial extent of a statistically highly significant shift in atmospheric temperatures over Europe around 1987-1988 using a boot-strap change point algorithm. According to this algorithm, this change point (average warming of about one degree Celsius) is statistically highly significant (p > 99.9999%). The change point is consistently present in satellite and surface temperature measurements as well as temperature re-analyses and ocean heat content over most of Western Europe. We also find a connection with parts of the North Atlantic Ocean and eastern Asia. Although the time of change coincides with the North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) going from negative to positive, the consistent warmer temperatures throughout the decades after 1987-1988 do not coincide with a persistent shift of the NAO, as it returns to a neutral/negative in the 1990’s. Furthermore, the shift does not coincide with any other known mode of multidecadal internal climate variability. We argue that the notion of a shift is “spurious”, i.e. the result of a fast change in Europe from dimming to brightening combined with an accidental sequence of cold (negative NAO) and warm (positive) NAO years during this period. The “shift” could therefore be considered as a fingerprint of European brightening during the last few decades.

Food security is closely linked to political independence and the achievement of full sovereignty for nations. Countries that achieve higher levels of food security are often stronger and more independent in their sovereign, political, and economic decisions. This has posed challenges for decision-makers to develop plans, strategies, and programs aimed at achieving self-sufficiency in food, thereby ensuring food security and political independence. This is evident in the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, which emphasizes food security and nutrition, with a specific goal to "end hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture" (Goal 2 of the Sustainable Development Goals and its eight targets). In light of these challenges, our study utilizes Spectrum software technology to estimate future needs in the agricultural sector for the year 2035, with the aim of achieving self-sufficiency.

Information is now the most important asset that a person, an organization, or business needs, and securing it will always be on headlines. Researchers say that "Information Security (IS) is not an IT problem anymore; it is a business issue." Maintaining information security is becoming more challenging day by day as the involvement of humans prevails in both causing damage to information and protecting it. As human is the weakest link in securing information, there is a need to look into the relationship between organizational culture (OC) and Information Security Culture (ISC) in an organization. Researchers have found the relation between the behavioral aspects of an employee and ISC. This paper shows a statistical relation between the four types of OC and ISC and a framework which shows the ranking among the culture types, is also depicts the importance given by each culture to Information Security considering confidentiality, availability, and integrity of information. The four types of OC (Clan Culture, Hierarchy Culture, Adhocracy Culture, and Market Culture) as per Competing Value Framework were mapped against IS triad with ranking given to the OC. From the analysis done, the research outcome was that Hierarchy Culture gives utmost importance to ISC, thus giving the organizations a set of qualities that can be imbibed.

A Study of the Psychometric Properties of the Work-Life Quality Questionnaire

The present study aims to examine the psychometric properties of the Work-Life Quality Questionnaire among cement company employees. Data were collected from 30 individuals, including 21 males and nine females. The questionnaire's validity was assessed using face validity (expert judgement) and internal consistency validity. The latter was evaluated by calculating Pearson's correlation coefficient between each item and the total score of the dimension to which it belongs and between each dimension and the overall questionnaire score. The reliability of the questionnaire was verified through the split-half method and Cronbach's alpha, with reliability coefficients computed at both the dimensional and total questionnaire levels. The findings confirmed that the Work Life Quality Questionnaire is valid in measuring its intended construct and demonstrated a good level of reliability and a high degree of stability in its results.

This study aims to shed light on the phenomenon of burnout among psychologists by examining two cases through clinical interviews and the Maslach Burnout Inventory. The results revealed varying levels of emotional exhaustion and a decline in personal accomplishment among practitioners. Additionally, the psychological and professional factors contributing to the development of this condition were analyzed. This study seeks to gain a deeper understanding of this phenomenon from both qualitative and quantitative perspectives, while proposing ways to prevent it and provide professional support.

This article explores an aspect of contemporary studie s in Arabic language and literature, specifically semiotic studies in Arabic poetry. It includes an analysis of excerpts from selected poems by Badr Shakir al Sayyab, namely MarMarḥā GhGhīllān , QQāfilat al Ḍayayāʿ (The Caravan of Loss), and Ru ʾyyā ffī ʿĀm 1956 (A Vision in 1956). The study applies semiotic analysis to these poems, highlighting the significance of this approach in the field of Arabic language and literature. Semiotic analysi s is considered a fundamental component in modern and contemporary literary studies, particularly in poetry, which has enriched the Arab literary heritage with profound poetic interpretations.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the benefits of various data analytics tools in indirect tax administration and management especially in the Indian context. The other purpose of this paper is grouping the overall benefits of data analytics in managing indirect taxes. Design/Methodology/Approach: Reports of various companies specializing in tax audit has been used to strongly establish the background for this study. The study adopted survey design where around 100 tax professionals were selected on convenient basis to examine the benefits of data analytics in tax admin-istration. The collected primary data were analysed with the help of IBM SPSS25 software and descrip-tive statistics & Exploratory Factor Analysis was used to generate the results. Findings: The study finds that data analytics proves to best option for managing indirect taxes with grow-ing digitalization and industry 4.0. The study has grouped overall benefits of data analytics in three components namely tax administration and management, fraud detection and monitoring. Research limitations/Implications: It is better recommended to use data analytics tools to ensure quality services for tax payers as well to have tax control and preventing fraudulent practices due to loop holes in the system. Originality/value: Studies related to tax and technology was quite common in foreign literature and not much in Indian context. This study is unique because it attempts to examine the benefits of data analytics in taxation through survey of tax professional thereby providing empirical evidences for further stud-ies in this domain.
