The article deals with the development of electronic manual for the elective course “Complex numbers” in the Russian and English languages. In the modern world you must have a complete understanding of the numbers to master mathematical culture, but currently methodological developments in the study of the theory of complex numbers in schools is relatively small and designed electronic manual for the elective course “Complex number” allows not only to improve the mathematical culture of students, but also to develop communicative competence. The aim of the research is to develop the electronic manuals for the elective course “Complex numbers” in two languages. The following methods were used: analysis of psychological, pedagogical and methodical literature, analysis and synthesis of personal experience of the authors. The electronic manuals, presented in the form of a website, for the elective course “Complex numbers” in two languages became the result of the research. Materials of the article can be useful to enrich pedagogical knowledge, notably a deficiency in the study of complex numbers in the school mathematics course is made up. New ways of thinking at possibility of studying complex numbers in two languages opens up prospects for the development of both mathematical and communication skills. The results of the research can be used by teachers in the educational process in preparing students, pupils of 11 grades, as well as in improving mathematical and communicative culture of the general public.

Success of today’s student in the future largely depends on his/her ability to acquire and develop skills, practices and competencies that can be used in any life situation. Therefore, it is necessary to educate children in readiness for change, developing of qualities such as mobility, constructiveness and ability to learn.

In this regard, the problem of tolerance is considered important both at the international and national levels. Tolerance is a complex social-pedagogical, philosophical phenomenon that has different meanings within the spheres of knowledge of different people, and at the same time it is an ethical-philosophical concept, a socio-cultural phenomenon, a socio-political solution method, a principle of mutual relations between people. Junior school age is a sensitive period of tolerance education. In children, this age period is more intensive in the process of general development of personality.

The purpose of the work is to identify and describe the features of teaching English to young children, to identify methods that allow developing constructive interaction between teachers and students, as well as the development of lesson plans. The object of the study is the process of teaching a foreign language. The subject of the study is the use of methodological recommendations in teaching preschool children. The question of when to start teaching a child a foreign language is of interest to many parents. This is quite expected, because knowledge of at least one foreign language in our time has turned from a desire into a necessity.

The relevance of the problem of the formation of reader's competence increases for successful socialization and implementation in the modern information world, students must learn to navigate the flow of information, and for this to be able to: independently read works, express value judgments about what they read, independently choose sources of information, work with various types of books (dictionaries, reference books), periodicals (magazines, newspapers), Internet sources, perceive and transmit information from various types of texts, determine (predict) the content of the text by elements, use information from the text for productive activities. In this regard, this article is devoted to the theoretical aspects of the formation of reading competence among students in English lessons. The task of the modern education system is not only the development of specific subject knowledge and skills within individual disciplines, but also a set of universal educational activities. Universal learning activities are both the result of the educational process and the conditions for the assimilation of knowledge, skills and competencies. One of these universal learning activities is reading. Mastering reading at different stages of learning contributes to the development of both intellectual and emotional and moral spheres of personality. This problem is relevant recently, thanks to computers and various "gadgets", the status of reading and the attitude towards it have changed a lot. The formation of students' reading competence in general, and within the framework of the subject "English" in particular, is one of the priorities and integral components of the educational process in an educational organization.

It is widely known that enhancement of the system of teaching foreign languages can be achieved by introducing progressive teaching methods as well as using modern teaching and information-communication technologies thus enabling them to access the achievements of the world civilization and globally available information resources, ensuring international collaboration and communication. Nowadays, culture is playing an important role in foreign language teaching and learning, therefore, a lot of researches have been done in this field in recent years. It has been recognized that a language is used as the main medium through which culture is expressed. It is believed that students are aware of language rules but are not always capable enough to use the language sufficiently as they do not have a sound knowledge of the target culture. Nevertheless, “pure information” is insight; while the development of people’s cultural understanding leads them to better critical thinking. There are ample methodologies for developing learners’ intercultural competence. The present study also seeks the ways of developing a model of blended learning course on intercultural communication.
