Methodological foundations for ensuring the stability in training athletes of various kinds of sports

Stupakov Guriy P., Zernov Vladimir A., ShcherbiNina Nina V., Prudnikova Nadezhda N., Mamberger Stepan K.

Отчет

A unified approach to the problems of health preservation in athletes, taking into account the options for phenotyping their health and basing on the main indicators of homeostatic potential, makes it possible not only to diagnose the initial functional disorders of the organism and monitor its basic capabilities, but also maintain the current functional reserves of the athlete at the proper level. This is provided by the use of a diagnostic and recovery unit, the recovery component of which forms complex medical and biological effects: it improves central and peripheral hemodynamics and increases the energy supply of cellular structures, i.e. increases the energy supply of the athlete's organism as a whole. This is the main component of the stability in training athletes of various kinds of sports.

The paper highlights the key stages on the way of a proper understanding of the magnetic field anti-tumor influence mechanisms on the level of an organism as an integrated system and its individual subsystems. The experiments in animals have shown that the processes of the malignant tumor growth inhibition are closely related to the formation of the stable state of the activation reaction at high reactivity levels. It is noted that the induction of such adaptational reaction depends on a specified selection of parameters of exposure intensities and magnetic field frequency, taking into account the law of nonlinearity of an exposure effect and adequacy with endogenous rhythms.

MicroRNA MIR-204-5P is a regulator of apoptosis in dacarbazine-resistant melanoma cells

MicroRNA MIR-204-5P is a regulator of apoptosis in dacarbazine-resistant melanoma cells

Palkina N.V.

Статья

Therapy for skin melanoma in its disseminated form is ineffective, among other things, due to the development of tumor cell resistance, mediated by various mechanisms. The acquisition of a stable cell phenotype is associated both with genetic and epigenetic changes mediated by the regulatory non-coding microRNA molecules. The aim hereof is to investigate the ability of microRNA miR-204-5p to influence changes in the cell cycle and apoptosis of melanoma cells resistant to the chemotherapeutic alkylating agent dacarbazine, used in standard chemotherapy for melanoma.

In the article main principles of ballistocardiography are considered. Special attention is paid to registration of the spatial ballistocardiogramm. There exist two principles of ballistocardiography: dynamic and seismic. In the event of dynamic ballistocardiography body displacements align to an extent with shifting of the general center of body gravity. Ideal conditions for ballistocardiogram acquisition could be reached if rigidity of internal body relations had an infinitely large value, while rigidity of external relations was nearing the zero. Then displacements of the entire body would depend only on the forces imparted by the cardiovascular system. Microgravity is the only environment providing these ideal conditions for ballistocardiography. Microgravity allows effective application of the dynamic BCG principle to recording pulse-induced body movements corresponding to the center of mass displacements. This kindled interest of the first researchers in space medicine in ballistocardiographic investigations during space flight...

Minimally invasive neurosurgery in pediatric practice: achievements and limitations

Minimally invasive neurosurgery in pediatric practice: achievements and limitations

Ulanova U.A., Osmanov S.A., Aliev M.S., Kerdivar V.Yu.

Статья научная

Minimally invasive neurosurgery (MINS) has gained significant importance in pediatric practice in recent decades. This area of medicine is aimed at reducing tissue injury, reducing hospital stay and reducing postoperative complications, which is especially important for children with their vulnerable anatomy and physiology. One of the methods used in MINS is neuroendoscopy. This method allows for interventions on the brain and spinal cord with minimal incisions. An important achievement is the endoscopic third ventriculostomy, which is used to treat hydrocephalus. This method has become an alternative to traditional bypass surgery. The use of catheters and microspirals for embolization of aneurysms or malformations avoids open operations on brain vessels and significantly reduces the risk of complications such as bleeding and infections. Intraoperative neuronavigation systems and robotic manipulators increase the accuracy of intervention, which is especially important when working with a small volume of the cranial cavity in children. Laser methods make it possible to remove tumors with high accuracy without damaging the surrounding tissues. Ultrasound aspiration helps to destroy dense tumors safely and effectively. However, the use of MINS in pediatrics has a number of limitations. Children have thinner and more fragile tissues, which increases the risk of complications even with minimally invasive interventions. In addition, the growth of the body requires taking into account further changes in anatomy, which complicates the planning of operations. MINS requires high-tech equipment, which is not available in all medical institutions, especially in developing countries. Despite the wide possibilities, some diseases of the central nervous system, such as large tumors or complex malformations, still require open surgery. The success of minimally invasive interventions depends on highly qualified specialists and continuous training in new techniques. Not all neurosurgeons have the necessary skills to work with children within the framework of the Ministry of Health. Thus, minimally invasive neurosurgery in pediatrics has significant achievements and potential for further development, however, there are certain limitations associated with the anatomical features of children, the complexity of technology and the availability of equipment.

Статья

Mitochondria are present in all organs and tissues of the organism being responsible for the control of various aspects of the cellular function, providing the necessary supply of ATP, regulating Ca2+ signaling, controlling levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS) etc. Mitochondria perform specialized functions unique to certain tissues. Abnormalities in mitochondria disorder the key physiological functions such as the ATP production, oxidative phosphorylation, the reactive oxygen species production, and the Ca2+ regulation. This is considered as the mitochondrial dysfunction [5]. It is known that tumor mitochondria undergo some adaptive changes to further accelerate the rapid reproduction of tumor cells in an acidic and hypoxic microenvironment [2]. Aims. The aims in our study were to investigate dysfunctional signs of mitochondria in tumor cells and the internal organs in mice under the growth of B16/F10 melanoma.

The aim is to evaluate the pathophysiological parameters of the efficacy of liver mitochondrial transplantation in animals with B16/F10 melanoma. Materials and methods. In our experiment we used female and male mice of BALB/c Nude strain (n=28). Experimental groups were as follows: the reference group (n=14) with B16/ F10 melanoma; the main group (n=14) with B16/F10 melanoma + mitochondrial therapy (MC therapy). Statistical analysis of results was carried out with the Statistica 10.0 software. Results. The subcutaneous tumor in the mice of both sexes became detectable on day 5 from the time of the tumor inoculation, and the regressive effect produced by MC therapy was recorded in the males beginning with day 8 of the tumor growth. At the end of the experiment, on day 22, the difference in the average volumes of the tumor node was reported to be 3.2 times, i.e. a significant inhibition of the tumor growth in the group of the males with MC therapy was revealed. In the females on day 5 of the tumor growth, differences in the volume of the tumor focus between the reference group and the group with MC therapy were not recorded, however, a statistically significant difference was found in the sex-related comparison of the groups of the animals with MC therapy. It was determined that in the females with MC therapy, the area of the tumor spot during that period (5 days) was 1.4 times (p function show_abstract() { $('#abstract1').hide(); $('#abstract2').show(); $('#abstract_expand').hide(); }

Mitochondrial therapy: a vision of the outlooks for treatment of main twenty-first-century diseases

Kit O.I., Frantsiyants E.M., Neskubina I.V., Shikhlyarova A.I., Kaplieva I.V.

Статья научная

Mitochondria are dynamic organelles which constantly change their shape, size, and location within the cells. Mitochondrial dynamics is associated with mesenchymal metabolism or epithelial-mesenchymal transition to regulate the stem cell differentiation, proliferation, migration, and apoptosis. The transfer of mitochondria from one cell to another is necessary to improve and maintain homeostasis in an organism. Mitochondrial transplantation is a therapeutic approach that involves an introduction of healthy mitochondria into damaged organs. Recent evidence data have shown that the physiological properties of healthy mitochondria provide their ability to replace damaged mitochondria, with suggesting that replacing damaged mitochondria with healthy mitochondria may protect cells from further damage. Moreover, mitochondria can also be actively released into the extracellular space and potentially be transferred between the cells in the central nervous system. This increased interest in mitochondrial therapy calls for a deeper understanding of the mechanisms, which build the basis for mitochondrial transfer, uptake, and cellular defense. In this review, questions related to the involvement of mitochondria in the pathogenesis of cancer will be discussed. Particular attention will be paid to mitochondrial transplantation as a therapeutic approach to treat the mitochondrial dysfunction under some pathological conditions.

Статья научная

On models of chronic neurogenic pain (CNP) and the growth of a malignant tumor (metastasizing B16 melanoma) in male mice, we studied an effect produced by mitochondrial therapy (MCT) on the state of the myocardium. Some structural correlates of the compensatory-restorative effect by mitochondria transplanted from healthy recipient rats were revealed. It has been identified that MCT contributes to the preservation of the structural integrity of the myocardial tissue, the inclusion of an auxiliary link in the cellular mechanisms of tissue restoration: fibroblasts, histiocytes, lymphocytes, eosinophils and other connective tissue elements, which implement the intercellular mechanism of information transfer that provides the external regulatory function of MCT. The ability of mitochondria to prevent the DNA decay determines the possibility of initiation of the operation of the nuclear mechanisms of the cardiomyocyte division, which is characteristic of a population of young cells and which indicates the determining position of exogenous mitochondria.

Diagnostic procedures occupy a special place in the activities of medical specialists, since the accuracy and timeliness of their implementation depends on the determination of the patient’s treatment package, as well as the prognosis of the course of the disease. In the modern period, innovative technologies come to the aid of doctors, one of which is artificial intelligence. Along with other areas of medicine, artificial intelligence (AI) technology is widely used in oncogastroenterology and is used in the process of diagnosis, prediction and image analysis. AI makes it possible to determine with high accuracy the features of the diagnosed pathology and, accordingly, to develop the most effective strategy for the treatment of the patient. The future of oncogastroenterology is based, without a doubt, precisely on the results of high-precision diagnostics, since advanced methods of treating cancer patients can give a significant effect precisely at the early stages of the development of this disease. For this reason, the appeal to AI as an indispensable assistant to diagnosticians in the future should be widely implemented at all levels of polyclinic and inpatient oncological care to the population.
