Lexical and semantic analysis of the concept of joy

The article deals with the features of the concept "Joy". The concept is understood as a multidimensional linguomental formation, realized in a sign form with high semiotic density, possessing structural and semantic multilayer and ethno-cultural specificity. The semantic field of concepts represents many different meanings, the process of formation of lexical and semantic content of the linguocultural concept "Joy" is conditioned not only by general cultural values, but also by the national and cultural specificity of the language.

Lexical features of English legal discourse

Legal discourse regulates relations between members of society and the existing definitions are based on sociolinguistic, communicative-activity, communicative-textual and cognitive motives. Its main functions consist in the formulation, preservation, clarification and implementation of rules. The first striking feature of the legal language is a great number of Latinisms, it is connected with Roman law. The author underlines that legal terminology is a system of lexical units of four levels: general scientific, interdisciplinary, proper legal and highly specialized legal terms.

Linguistic consciousness as a problem of linguoculturology

The so-called national-cultural space, or consciousness common to all representatives of this ethno-linguistic community, serves as a form of the existence of culture in the human consciousness. This article discusses the question of the legality of the allocation of linguistic consciousness into a separate category within the framework of linguoculturology. The study of the sign isomorphism between the system of natural language and the system of thinking is analyzed. Various points of view are presented regarding the methods and means of such recoding, which generally depend on understanding the typology of cognitive structures and their relationship.

This article describes the characteristics of communication skills and speech skills from the standpoint of linguopsychology. The process of skill formation is described, its main properties are listed and disclosed in detail. The question of the role of language knowledge in the creation of foreign language speech skills is considered. The main qualities of speech skills are described. The stages of speech skill formation are considered in detail. An attempt is made to prove that knowledge, skills and abilities are formed not sequentially, but in parallel. Solid knowledge is acquired in the process of forming skills and abilities.

An analysis was made of 52 outpatient records of patients with locally advanced thyroid cancer who received treatment at the VOKOD Health Center in the period from 2012 to 2017. All 52 patients were referred for radioiodine therapy. Moreover, a relapse of the disease was detected in 3.8% of cases, the appearance of regional metastases in 30.7%, and the generalization of the process in 15.4%. The stabilization of the process was observed in 45.6% of cases.

Tumors of visible localizations of the head and neck are significant in the structure of oncological morbidity. In the early stages, they respond well to surgical treatment, targeted and radiation therapy; in the later stages, there is a high degree of trauma, disability and mortality. The objective of the study was to identify parameters of oncogenic risks for their further implementation as applications for mobile devices computer programs. The study involved adults diagnosed with oncopathologies. The information was collected by anonymous survey; the authors have also specified the gradation of the most common localizations. The main findings of the study were presented as prevention guidelines and rrecommendations available to all Russian citizens. Questionnaires and programs on modern platforms were introduced to detect the studied factors and early symptoms of oncological diseases, thus contributing to preventive medicine concept and increasing the efficiency of healthcare.

The article presents a study of the psychological resource of the cognitive development of children aged 11-12 years. As components of this resource, competencies were studied, reflecting the development by children of regulatory universal actions associated with reflection on the way of solving problems and planning to achieve a result. As a result of carrying out group experiments on the material of plot-logical tasks, it was shown that within two years the mastering of reflection on the method of solving problems occurs more intensively than mastering the planning of achieving a result.

Media culture as a phenomenon of the modern information society

The article presents contemporary concepts of media culture and describes its information and communication functions in modern mass media and internet discourse. The aim of the study is to define the role of media culture as a phenomenon of information-dependent society. The relevance lies in the active and aggressive influence of media and cultural processes on the development of contemporary society, which are at odds with the poor research, since many of these processes are still at a nascent and developmental stage. The article also draws conclusions and generalisations about the negative and positive characteristics of media culture, which promotes mainly mass culture products that have no aesthetic value, but which do benefit from their relaxing powers.

This article proposes a theoretical justification of mental stress influence on the mental working capacity of high school students in the context of specialized education. In addition, this article proposes an empirical-experimental study of functional criteria for assessing the mental working capacity of high school students in the context of educational activities. The modernization of society, the economy, politics, and modern education provides an opportunity for the emergence of a new direction of specialized education - based on objective methods of functional psychological and pedagogical diagnostics, stimulating the learning activities of students. In this regard, before psychologists and teachers, the administration of municipal educational institutions, it became necessary to determine effective criteria and methods for assessing the quality of specialized training at all stages of training and education of the main subjects of the educational process.

Metaphoric medical terms with zoonym component in English and Russian medical discourses

This article is devoted to the comparative analysis of the metaphoric medical terms with the zoonym component in English and Russian medical discourses. The relevance of the study is determined by the importance of these metaphoric medical terms for the understanding of national peculiarities, and as a result, effective intercultural communication and overcoming communication barriers in healthcare cooperation. The objective of the research was to reveal whether medical conditions are nominated by metaphors with equal or different zoonym components in English and Russian medical discourses. The material of the research included English-Russian medical dictionaries and Russian-English medical dictionaries. Conclusions: The comparative analysis of the metaphoric medical terms with the zoonym components in English and Russian medical discourses has demonstrated that medical conditions may be nominated by metaphors with equal or different zoonym components.

Metasubject cognitive competencies children 10-11 years old

The article presents a study aimed at studying the influence of different educational environments in primary schools - traditional ones of a different nature and built according to the system of D.B. Elkonin and V.V. Davydov. - to develop meta-subject cognitive competencies in children in grades 4 and 5. In two series of group experiments, children solved plot-logical problems of the author’s “Deduction” technique. As a result of the study, it was shown that teaching children aged 10-11 years in an educational environment built according to the system of D.B. Elkonin and V.V. Davydov, to a greater extent than their education in a traditional educational environment, contributes to the formation of meta-subject cognitive competencies.
