The algorithm to complex study of obsolete words and figurative means in folk music

A study of the texts by one of the most popular performers in contemporary folk music Loreena McKennitt was conducted to identify obsolete words and archaisms. A definition or synonym was given to every linguistic unit under study. The modifiers frequently used in preposition to the obsolete words were analyzed in British and American English. The semantic structure of the material involved four parameters: person, artifact, action, and time.

The main characteristics of the concept of "space" in the English linguistic culture will be the subject of analysis. The differential features of the concept of "space" are revealed through the prism of linguistic fixation in the content of thought. This allows us to determine the specificity of the fragmentation of reality by the English linguistic culture, first of all into internal and external space as a ratio of the location of objects. The concept under study is determined by the world view, the prevailing philosophy, the axiological system, cultural traditions, religious beliefs, etc. in the English linguistic picture of the world.

The concept of "child" in the English and Kyrgyz picture of the world

The article analyzes the structure of the concept of "child" in the English and Kyrgyz pictures of the world according to the associative experiment. The similarity of the nuclear zone of the concept is revealed, which confirms its high universal value. It also gives a linguistic and cultural description of the paremic material of the Kyrgyz and English languages, which consolidated the knowledge and ideas about the child, his ties with his parents and their relationships. An attempt is made to organize proverbs and sayings in the paremiological field in order to identify the cognitive features of the concept under study.

The description of linguistic components of the discourse

The analysis of theoretical and practical material describes explicit macrostructures as the components of linguistic meanings of the discourse. Consequently, the explicit macroproposition of discourse, we mean a statement that is the result of a cognitive-semantic operation. The appeal to explicit macropropositions, organized by the author's efforts into explicit macrostructures, provides a relatively rare opportunity to trace how semantic, pragmatic and referential basses are realized into macrostructures of discourse. When working with explicit macrostructures, we get the opportunity to operate not with hypothetical cognitive-semantic units, but with explicit units clothed in syntactic structures. The material of research was the text of the English writer Jerome K. Jerome "Three Men in a Boat: To Say Nothing of the Dog!" This story includes the sequences of explicit macro-propositions, combined into macrostructures in each chapters of the text.

This article is devoted to the issue of the influence of globalization and the ever-growing influence of the English language on the speech of young people and the appearance of Anglicisms in their language. In our turbulent age, the flow of new ideas, things, information, technologies require a clear and capacious name for objects and phenomena, makes us use already existing foreign names in the language, and not expect the creation of original words. The scientific, technical, military, financial, banking, sports and even cultural vocabulary around the world is striving for internationalization. The craving for scientific progress, for civilization is reflected in the language. Discussing the current situation, many philologists and linguists note that the intensity of borrowing foreign vocabulary has reached enormous proportions. Of particular concern is the fact that borrowed words from English slang and their derivatives are increasingly common in everyday speech of young people. It is easier for young people to express their thoughts and feelings through the means of a foreign language. People around you do not always understand what teenagers or students are talking about. They speak a different language of their generation. This article was written as a part of a scientific project which is financed by Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.

Интенсивность и сложность данного процесса обуславливают актуальность проблемы аббревиации и необходимость обращения к ее тщательному изучению. Интерес к специфике создания аббревиатур в разноструктурных языках и к особенностям их употребления в различных типах и жанрах речи объясняется тем, что аббревиация оказывается одним из способов словопроизводства, наиболее полно отвечающим прагматическим установкам современности.

В данной статье подробно рассматривается содержание делового русского языка. На основе профессиональных исследований и опросов выявлены ключевые требования к переводу делового русского языка в контексте трансграничной электронной торговли. Предложены пять эффективных мер по оптимизации техник перевода, включая интеграцию с конкретным контекстом, увеличение использования переносных значений, научное применение трансформации частей речи, интеграцию большего количества профессиональных терминов и адекватное отражение делового этикета. Эти меры позволят повысить точность перевода делового русского языка и сделать языковое взаимодействие в трансграничной электронной торговле более эффективным.

Исследование посвящено малоизученной проблеме структурирования образа потребителя финансовых услуг в рекламном дискурсе. Рассмотрены факторы, определяющие лингво-аксиологические особенности формирования образа целевой аудитории видеорекламы банков США, Канады, Германии и ЮАР, - не относящихся к национально-специфическому типу рекламы. Контент-анализ продемонстрировал эффективность применения в лингво-аксиологиченском анализе образа целевой аудитории широкого спектра классификаций ценностей (М. Рокич, Г. Хофштеде, Р. Поллея и др.), включая классификации корпоративных ценностей. Вместе с тем, исследование показало, что хотя диапазон ценностей, представленных при моделировании образа целевой аудитории отчасти совпадает с национально-культурными ценностями, однако, лингво-аксиологическую структуру дискурса рекламы обусловливает целый ряд факторов; среди которых необходимо отметить функции и виды рекламы финансовых услуг, некоторые из которых недостаточно освещены в исследованиях финансовой рекламы. Выделены концепты, находящиеся вне классификаций ценностей и используемые для выстраивания адресант-адресатных отношений для реализации манипулятивных стратегий. Показана конвенциональность фреймово-слотовой репрезентации образа целевой аудитории в видеорекламе финансовых услуг.
