Totalitarian obstacles and modern challenges in the study of World literature

The article is devoted to the importance of teaching examples of world literature in literature lessons in secondary schools against the background of modern challenges in the world and its main educational aspects. In the teaching pro-cess, the role and importance of teaching these examples in the formation of students' planetary thinking , the formation of logical, critical and creative thinking, the study of selected examples from world literature , the formation of cognitive and communication skills were emphasized. It was noted in the study that the formation of national and human ideas in students’, the development of personality is one of the main requirements of modern subject programs. The formation of a planetary image of the growing generation, the establishment of artistic and literary parallelism in literature lessons in the direction of inculcating a sense of unity and belief in the world is of great scientific and methodological importance.

Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and the development of the online channel have transformed the competitive environment of the tourism industry within a brief span of time. However, our knowledge about the details of the evolving trend of the distribution system is scarce. Considering the prior literature, this research analyzes the evolution of the sector’s structure, the power of tourism operators, the production processes and products of the tourism sector. The work uses primary information which is taken from surveys to experts in the sector, within a European context. The results of the work, based on a comparison between two samples in 2008 and in 2012, underscore the development of the distribution system and the significant changes happened in opinions regarding the relationship between the use of ICTs and value creation, regarding ICTs and product quality, and regarding how ICTs facilitate the adoption of the best practices in the industry. Multiple and exclusively online channel strategies are the most involved.

Tourism and Employment Spillovers in a Small Island Developing State: A Dynamic Investigation

Using a dynamic vector error correction model, and catering for dynamism and endogeneity, the present study attempts to address the question on whether tourism development enhances employment in Mauritius using time series data for the period 19882014. The results show that indeed tourism expansion has contributed towards boosting direct, indirect and induced employment in both the long run and short run. The findings also demonstrate that investment in the tourism sector positively influences the employment variable. Moreover, a uni-directional causality is found in the investigation running from tourism development to employment creation as a result of the expansion of the tourism sector.

The contemporary crisis is giving evidence of failing macroeconomic theories and policies, after decades of focusing on the aggregate domestic demand and the role of the public expenditure. The contemporary crisis has shown the weakness of fiscal policy. With very low interest rates, the monetary policy does not seem to provide an alternative exit strategy out of the crisis, too. In this paper we discuss the hypothesis that GDP can still be a reliable estimate of growth. Nevertheless, at crisis times, only if the focus is on the foreign demand like International Tourism Receipts and Exports, and Exports can be an exit strategy. One component of Exports and International Tourism Receipts are worthy of attention. Thanks to a cluster analysis of per year variations of International Tourism Receipts (ITRs), GDP and Exports (World Bank Database) from 2007 to 2011, average positive variations of GDPs are matching with positive ITRs and Exports for “clusters” of countries. Performances of Europe and USA are worse than China, Brazil, India and South Africa and these continents and countries are separated in two different clusters. This result can be related to an increase of trade in emerging economies more than in mature ones, whose exit out of the crisis is much more demanding. The research confirms that Tourism and Exports are having an impact on the growth at different intensities (Europe and America vs. Asia) at crisis times.

Training Needs of University Faculty for Performing Teaching Tasks Using Artificial Intelligence

Amid the fourth wave of the industrial revolution, artificial intelligence (AI) is emerging as a transformative force in higher education—not merely as a supplementary tool but as a key agent reshaping the roles and dynamics among professors, students, and educational content. Yet, this shift does not inherently ensure professors' readiness or mastery of the requisite skills for such a transition. Consequently, this study seeks to identify the training needs of university professors to effectively integrate AI into their teaching practices. Data were collected via a questionnaire administered to 44 professors at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Oum El Bouaghi, after validating its psychometric proper-ties. The findings revealed that, across the three examined factors, most respondents lacked proficiency in AI-related skills. The option "Not proficient in using it." scored the highest percentages for each factor: (42.89%), (55.9%), and (78.41%), supported by mean scores of (2.22), (2.44), and (2.76), respectively. Overall,the predominant response was "Not proficient in using it." (59.06%), followed by "Somewhat" (31.38%),and "Proficient in using it." (9.43%).These results align with the ques-tionnaire’s total mean score (2.47), which lies between "Somewhat" and "Not proficient in using it."

This study addresses the problematic issue of the transboundary movement of electronic waste and the severe environmental and health risks it entails, particularly for developing countries that receive increasing quantities of such waste under the guise of "reuse." The research analyses the international legal framework governing this phenomenon, focusing on the 1989 Basel Convention, which serves as the primary reference for regulating the movement of hazardous waste. The study also examines the effectiveness of the Convention in addressing legal loopholes and shortcomings in practical implementation, especially in light of the absence of a unified international commitment. Furthermore, comparative experiences from various countries, including Japan, China, and Ghana, are explored to evaluate national waste management models.

The Zaouias play a significant role in the scientific and social life of the Tuat region in Adrar, where they worked to spread the teachings of Islam, the Arabic language, offer hospitality to guests and travelers, in addition to promoting values of tolerance, unity, and reconciliation, especially within the Tuat community. Their scientific and social roles expanded to neighboring vibrations such as Niger, Mali, and Senegal. In this study, we sought to explore the f orms of this expansion, covering the political aspects that led the Tuat Zaouia to combine religious and political elements in its anthropological approach. We also investigate the extent to which the Algerian political authority has utilized the spiritual role of the Tuat Zaouia in northern Mali to mediate political disputes between northern Malian tribes and the Malian authorities.

Understanding this also requires us to consider our communication technologies in general and their impact, to pave the way for a context within which we study the extent of a sound understanding of values and their impact on their use.

To obtain satisfactory results, a true experimental research design was conducted on a sample of 36 third-year pupils at Zerrougui Amar Secondary School-Tebessa, Algeria. Results of the experimental design provided evidence on the efficacy of transmedia storytelling in cultivating learners‟ autonomy.

This study aimed to develop Turkish Teacher Candidates’ Self-Efficacies to Use Listening Strategies Scale. Therefore, the study was designed in sequential explanatory design, and sequential timing has been followed. First, the interview study was conducted with 40 participants, and the qualitative data were analyzed through content analysis. Subsequently, an item pool was designed via the findings obtained from the qualitative findings and literature review. Afterward, the draft form was applied to Turkish teacher candidates and 345 valid forms were obtained. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis conducted for the data obtained, we determined that the items were collected in four factors in total. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was calculated as .927 for the scale. Confirmatory factor analysis was performed in the last stage, and finally, we found that all factors are statistically significant and the obtained model has a good fit. In addition, we determined that the qualitative findings have chronological categorization and the quantitative findings have thematical categorization. This means that thematic categorization to the listening strategies can be more appropriate for listening skills. Consequently, the scale can be used in determining the self-efficacy perceptions of Turkish teacher candidates to use listening strategies. Furthermore, the scale can contribute to similar studies in the literature.

Understanding the Determinants of Entrepreneurial Intentions in Algerian Higher Education

This study investigates the determinants of entrepreneurial intentions among Algerian university students using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and the Entrepreneurial Event Model (EEM). A cross-sectional survey was conducted with 242 students from various academic fields. The structured questionnaire assessed three main predictors—attitudes, social/institutional support, and perceived behavioral control—alongside entrepreneurial intentions. The results of binary logistic regression reveal that perceived behavioral control is the most significant predictor, indicating that students’ confidence in their entrepreneurial abilities strongly influences their intention to start a business. Social and institutional support also demonstrated a significant positive effect. In contrast, entrepreneurial attitudes showed a weak negative association with intention, suggesting that favorable perceptions alone are insufficient without adequate capability and support. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening self-efficacy and institutional ecosystems rather than relying solely on promoting positive attitudes.

Focusing on North Africa, the study critiques legal and enforcement strategies, highlighting ethical dilemmas in combating migrant smuggling. Findings underscore smuggling’s role as a revenue stream for organized crime, exacerbating regional instability. Policy recommendations advocate for harmonized laws, technology integration, and human rights protections. This article advances the literature by offering a holistic framework and regional insights, urging coordinated global responses to disrupt transnational crime.

During the last decade speech and language therapy has undergone a remarkable transformation towards the use of information communication technologies (ICT) for the diagnosis and intervention of speech and language difficulties. In most cases, while ICTs are used as auxiliary tools for speech and language therapists, they are used as an intervention tool in regions where speech and language therapists are not available. In this article, a brief summary of some applications of information communication technologies used for assessment and intervention according to the type of language and speech difficulties will be given. The lack of sufficient experts in parallel with the prevalence of language and speech difficulties suggests that information and communication technologies can be used. It has been determined that the prevalence of language and speech difficulties in school age children is 5% in the world. This rate was mostly found as voice disorders (3%) and stuttering (1%). In a study on the screening of children with language and speech problems in Turkey, the rate of 5% in the kindergarten and first grades of primary schools in Eskişehir. It has been determined that there are children with language speaking difficulties at a rate of 1. A similar study revealed that 3.5% of 16.000.000 kindergarten, primary and secondary school children have language and speech difficulties. This Research Paper examines a Sample of Videos on the Social Networking Site TikTok, in which Children appear Primarily or as Secondary Characters. I shed light on the Content and the Form of these Videos to Understand the Nature of the Vid eos in which Children appear, and how they contribute to and influence the Formation of their Behaviors and Attitudes. We relied on the Content Analysis Tool, which was applied to a Sample of Videos estimated at (16 Videos), which were intentionally selected. The Study Concluded, based on the Sample; that Most of the Topic’s Children Use on TikTok are Entertainment and Drama. However, the Content trend was positive, in line with the Values and Customs of the Algerian Society. It also showed that Mal e Childr en appear more frequently in this Content, with their diverse clothing, hairstyles, and filming locations, all of which play a Pivotal Role in Attracting and Engaging Audiences.
